Manchester’s own alt-pop sensation FEAR OF MARKO just dropped his brand new single “Thorns“! with a gorgeous guitar melody lacing the track, and driving, powerful drums creating a real energy behind the track, it starts off incredibly strong and MARKO’s vocal takes real command over the track, with personal and raw lyricism, only for it to open up fully in the second chorus with a real club bounce with the kick and the rhythm in perfect unison to make this a proper anthem. yet another in a long run of fantastic tunes!

we’re huge fans of Daniel Darley, having had him perform for us a bunch, and he’s just put out this new single “Wondrous Life“! right from the get-go, there’s a lovely atmosphere with bright guitarwork and a relaxing flow, and his vocal capability is on full display alongside his incredible lyrical talent – his songwriting is exquisite, and this track is a fantastic example of that. there’s a lovely reverse (we think!) synth in the chorus, that really proves the production on it – a gorgeous listen!

we love The Memory Club, having had them play our shows towards the end of 2024, and this new EP “I’ve Got Friends That I Love” is a real indication of their musical ability and talent. the balance of raw and real lyrics, vocal harmonies, a gorgeous balance between all of the instrumentation on the tracks – you can tell these guys love making music and they’ve got an incredible run of tunes on this EP. it’s not only raw, but upbeat and energetic, they’ve got a gorgeous balance to it, with a fantastic dynamic – such an incredible listen and we can’t wait to hear more!

we’ve caught Jonny Beer perform a bunch lately, at our gigs and open mics – he’s just put out his new EP “New City, New Strangers“! right from the start it’s energetic, powerful and driving, with a full band sound providing a real force behind him – gorgeous guitar tones, a lovely dynamic in the songs, balancing from upbeat to calm verses; and Jonny taking centre-stage with his lyrics, which are image-invoking, descriptive and personal – it’s a great collection of tunes and we can’t wait to hear even more from him!

Manchester indie-folk artist Creepy Crawly just dropped a new single “December ā€˜88“! with guitar tones akin to modern folk-rock, and a lovely flowing guitar progression, it’s got a fantastic groove to it, and the drums and bass really accentuate this – feeling like a travelling backdrop, giving plenty of space for her vocal to flow over the top of it – there’s a real sense of storytelling in this song, with a lovely lyrical ability on full display, and proves Creepy Crawly as one to definitely keep an eye on for the future!

we’ve known Paul Sadler for a good while now, having caught him perform alongside his folk-rock trio a bunch -he’s just released his new single “A Song Of Everything And Nothing“! immediately, his vocal capabilities are on full display, holding a gorgeous melody with expert delivery – you can really hear his influence from the heavier genres, but balanced so well into the more delicate sound – and with the strings, vocal harmonies and such, it creates a gorgeous environment for listener to dwell within. such a lovely track!

Motel Sundown just dropped their brand new track “Where The Romans Live“! a real blues-rock style tune, it’s got a lovely guitar riff that echos expertly throughout the track, and there’s a real sense of cool lurking – it’s a gorgeous tune, the vocal harmonies in the choruses are second to none, opening up the track in a lovely manner; the drums and bass only add to the groove of the riff – a proper tune, and we’re looking forward to see what the future holds for them!

Blackpool-based indie-rock outfit Fat Man’s Corner dropped their fourth single “Standing On Top Of The World“! with a real indie-pop feel, immediately opening with a luscious synth melody that sets the feel of the track – the tune flows effortlessly from section to section, really opening up as it comes to the chorus, which is a proper sing-along anthem – it’s a real lovely track that really sets them as ones to watch in the North West for the future!

there’s been so many amazing releases over the course of the year, and a fantastic way to see it out with all these fantastic tunes from the last month of 2024 – plus, lots that we didn’t get to cover – thanks to everyone who has checked this out, and we hope you enjoyed it! 🤘
