our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Grapes” from Zara Smile! ✨

we’ve covered Zara’s music a bunch in the past, and we’re always so in awe of their down-to-earth, relatable and honest songwriting style, conveying real raw emotion effortless within their lyrics, backed by a gorgeous soundscape of instrumentation that perfectly compliments their music. 🤝

this song is no different, feeling delicate and intimate with a lovely flow behind it, with all instrumentation working in perfect unison to create a dreamy, ethereal atmosphere, which provides a beautiful backdrop to their lyrics, conveyed so well with powerful, dynamic and intricate delivery – we’re huge fans of the range of instruments here, which work so well with one another to create a fantastic track. 🌙

you can find the track on all streaming platforms, taken from their latest EP “Listen!” – and you can support it directly on Bandcamp at https://zarasmile.bandcamp.com/album/listen🎧

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new album “Indefinite, but not Forever” from pillow fort 👊

we’ve covered their previous single “Codename Kids Next Year“, included on the album, and we were in awe of their personal conversationalist tone of their lyrics, with expert musical ability to create such powerful and energetic tunes! 💥

this album sounds incredible, really maintaining that quality of songwriting throughout, flowing between melodic and downbeat numbers to powerful, driving and anthemic tracks – there’s a real flow to the album that sets it apart from the rest, and ensures a full listen is necessary. still maintaining those gorgeous guitar patterns, driving rhythm and powerful vocal taking centre stage, it’s well worth a listen 🤝

you can find the album on all streaming platforms, and you can grab a copy over on Bandcamp at https://pillowfort.bandcamp.com/album/indefinite-but-not-forever – plus vinyl available! 🎧
