our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Smalltown Love Song” from Sura Laynes! š
the Derby-based indie rock band have put out a strong collection of singles already, and with having performed a whole bunch of gigs in the local area, they’ve really made their mark on the scene as ones to watch š¤
this new single sounds fantastic, there’s echoes of various influence in it, ranging from Jesus and The Mary Chain, to more anthemic indie rock acts like Oasis, and there’s a lovely groove behind the track, a moody backdrop that sets the tone for Walsh’s vocals to really take command of the tune. the drums and bass create a luscious atmosphere, and the droney guitarwork gives us a real 90’s alternative feel, and the lyrics paint an incredible portrait of love and romance – it’s a brilliant listen! š§
you can find the track on all streaming platforms, and there’s a full music video available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZ5fSoD3_5Q – well worth checking out! š¶
