we’ve known Harrison for a long long time now, having hosted him at gig across Manchester, caught his debut album launch in York back in 2022 and covered his music a bunch
this new single is yet another fantastic tune under his belt, with his signature storytelling lyricism immediately on display, his ability to paint a picture with his words is second to none. there’s a gorgeous atmosphere in the track, with soaring guitars and instrumentation that elevate the song expertly, and as the build of the track continues, it flows almost effortlessly into each section, and the choruses are the trademark singalong that we’ve seen with his music in the past it’s yet another incredible single from the North-West singer-songwriter!

we’ve caught Getner live a bunch of times, and we’re always so blown away by their stage presence, they’ve got huge anthemic tunes and their ability to hold an audience in the palm of their hand is second to none πΆ
this single is real proof of their talent, and it captures their live energy superbly, with a proper driving riff forming the base of the track, backed by huge rhythm that builds the foundation, giving plenty of space for vocalist Quentin to command the direction of the tune with his powerful vocal. the track addresses a lost British squaddie on the streets of Ireland during The Troubles, and whilst the track is lyrically superbly written, it also aims to educate listeners on a history that most may not know about. a proper quality tune π₯

their first release, they’ve been making a name for themselves on the Leeds circuit performing all across the city, and wowing audiences with their groove-driven psychedelic sounds π
this new single sounds mega, opening with a solid foundation of rhythm, such a drive from the bass and drums, giving plenty of room for the guitar riff to dance over. the verse has a proper vibe to it, and it opens up excellently into a huge grungey chorus, filled with distorted sounds and anthemic lyricism. they’re able to blend a huge variety of influences to create their own sound, and make it feel effortless – a brilliant debut! π

this new tune sounds incredible, a real evolution of his sound into a more refined and driving manner, maintaining his originality and individuality yet sounding even bigger and louder than before. his ability to convey a message within his lyricism is second to none, and with punchy rhythm, walls of sound, powerful vocals and an eclectic guitar solo, we’re huge fans of this one π€

this new single sounds mega, it’s got a gorgeous guitar riff that resonates throughout the song, backed with driving rhythm that forms a real solid foundation for the track, allowing for arpeggiated guitar melodies and the soft, flowing vocal to soar freely in the atmosphere of the song. it’s got more of a sing-along style with an anthemic chorus, and the texture of the track is gorgeous – a fantastic listen! π

the EP sounds incredible, there’s a real sense of authenticity to it, with a luscious soundscape within each song, between the guitarwork, vocal and production, which really shines a light on Maya’s songwriting talent and vocal ability. her lyrics are poignant yet grounded, with a real power to connect emotionally with a listener and relay stories in such a poetic manner. it’s an incredible listen π΅
