Just The Crust 05/07/21: Cold Water Swimmers – Holiday at The Secret Lake ☀️
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new ALBUM from Cold Water Swimmers “Holiday at the Secret Lake”!! 
with an unmistakably Northern sound, the Manchester outfit have released some fantastic singles over the past year or two and are back now with their first full-length release! 
“Holiday at the Secret Lake” is chock-full of lovely tunes, reminiscent of 90s alternative indie mixed in with some lovely songwriting, and punkier elements which really give Cold Water Swimmers a unique yet familiar sound – definitely ones to watch here!! 
must listens: Love is Insane / I’ll Be Your Witness – real brit-pop vibes with some top choruses you’ll be singing on your way home from the pub. the whole album as a whole is fantastic though – definitely worth listening to on this overcast Manchester Monday

Based in Morecambe, Inadequate Flaws blend pop-punk vocals with a huge variety of influences, making upbeat songs inspired from their coastal town up North. the new song “Sun Rises” is an anthem to enjoying life and making the most of what you’ve got – it comes out this Friday 18th of June!

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from DEAFDEAFDEAF “Odes”! 🤟
proper loving this tune, a real great one from the Manchester post-punk outfit. they’ve had some great responses to their earlier singles, and this one proves they’re in it to push the boundaries of their music and keep growing as a band (which, you gotta love to see.) 😊
maintaining that post-punk sound in an age of modernism, DEAFDEAFDEAF are definitely ones to watch for the future! with driving riffs, huge sounds, and wavy guitar melodies, we’re massive fans of this track. head over to YouTube at https://youtu.be/mRE3K75_Lvg to catch the video in full. 👊 well worth a watch. big love to Disobedient Records for putting this out!

“Obliterate/Ugly” is over a year old?! 😎
how on earth has it been over a year since we released this EP “Obliterate/Ugly” with Adam Carpenter Music!? 
we recorded this with Adam prior to the pandemic, then produced it all up in our studio, worked on it tirelessly during the initial lockdown (the “three-week one”!) and then released it last year on the 8th of May. it’s been a serious journey since then, but it’s absolutely amazing to see that people are still listening to this. that’s all we want for our artists, to help them create something unique and personal to them and then for people to engage with it and share in the experiences of the songs 
we truly believe that some of Adam’s finest-written songs are on this EP, with punky elements, singer-songwriter elements, it’s a real expression of Adam and it’s a beautiful sight to see when a piece of music does that. 
highly recommend checking out “2:24” and “Obliterate Me” – such personal and relatable ideas in those songs, with a lovely lovely amount of distortion

Just The Crust 03/05/21: Gen and the Degenerates – Underwear 🎧
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the amazing new single from Gen and the Degenerates – “Underwear”!
this tune is so boss! with driving basslines, guitar riffs, huge drums.. amazing vocals on this and just an absolute journey from start to finish. these guys are definitely ones to watch! we heard this and we were like hell yeah, this has gotta be featured.
‘Underwear’ really sets the band apart from the rest on the scene, bringing raw power and an unimitable statement that they’re here to do what they want, and empower people to do the same. amazing stuff!! exactly what we want to see from artists and bands!

Just The Crust 22/02/21: WHITE NOISE – Mind’s Eye ✊
our feature for this week’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from WHITE NOISE, ‘Mind’s Eye’!
Off the back of their debut single last year, WHITE NOISE are back with another hard-hitting tune! “Mind’s Eye” is a real great tune, balancing heavy riffs with prolific songwriting and serious drive to the tune! A real classic windows down low, driving through the countryside and taking in the scenery track.
