for our Knead To Know feature today, we’ve got the absolutely incredible Mad Fox studio! they’ve been super busy lately, producing and recording some incredible music over there – including releases from Minervadaisy MILLICENT Kestrel Palace and Supera Morza
Tayte started this studio to provide not only a recording space for bands and artists – but to try and give them a platform for their music to not only be heard but evolve and develop. The work he has been doing on production is absolutely incredible, and the studio has only gone from strength to strength over the last year! They’ve been seeing radio play from not only BBC Music Introducing but also XS Manchester Amazing Radio and getting on some huge Spotify editorial playlists.
he’s even expanded out to having two main studios now, allowing up and coming producers and engineers to come in and rent the rooms for their own recording projects – absolutely incredible stuff. there’s some fantastic gear over there too, industry-standard equipment but also some preamps used by The Beatles on three of their albums!! 
definitely, definitely a serious Knead To Know up here in the North West. we’re absolutely in awe of how Tayte has provided a lovely space for the community and we CAN NOT wait to see what else he has in store in the future! drop them a message or go to their contact at https://www.madfoxmanchester.com/contact to get in touch with any enquiries!

we’re super proud of this one, we’ve been working so hard to get releases out as well as keeping at it with our features, gigs and the such. it’s been a long time coming for michael’s latest single – a huge anthem about climate change backed with a melodramatic and huge b-side! typical michael webster style.

how amazing were the North West Music Awards from Red Spot Events the other night?! 🤟 sadly, we didn’t win, but to even be finalists alongside Jacaranda Records and Sour Grapes Records was absolutely insane. they’re doing some absolutely incredible work and we’re in awe to have even have been nominated. Congrats to Jacaranda Records for winning!! 😊
another big shout is to MILLICENT for winning best music video, James Holt for winning best solo artist and Waterloo Music Bar Blackpool for winning best venue! there was SO much talent nominated and we’d have loved to have seen everyone win, but that’s just the way it goes! 🖤
we just wanna say a huge thank you to Olivia Browse Adam Carpenter Music and Anyone’s Ghost – this isn’t possible without you guys, and running this label is a blessing to know all of you amazing people and help put your music out. I’ve been doing this on my own for a long time and it’s really awesome to see that the work I’ve been doing has been recognised like this. 🥰
a final thank you is to everyone who’s come to a gig, bought a piece of merch, listened to any of our music – you guys who support us really keep us going. this is the reason why I keep on at all of this, it’s often quite a hard thing to do, but the support of the community keeps me going. I try to keep the label and my own music a lil bit separate, but thank you all – a brief word from michael webster 🍞
our feature for today’s Knead To Know is the amazing Jessica Seymour’s Photography!
Jess is a photographer originally from Liverpool, but now based up in Leeds for university. She’s been getting involved in the local music scenes across the North West for a few years now, and has been working a bunch with creatives across Liverpool up until the pandemic – and is looking now to expand further out into Leeds now that things are opening up again
As restrictions ease, Jess is hoping to make an impact with photography, focusing on gig photography and photoshoots for musicians, but also hoping to expand out into fashion and portrait photography. We’re proper looking forward to what is in store for Jess over the next few months, and her photography is insanely great!!
