Absolutely made up with the reception that we’ve had from the recent Anyone’s Ghost and michael webster releases 🤘
We’ve had two lovely releases out over the past month and we’ve stoked to be able to say they’ve been some of our best ❤️ it’s super boss to be putting out such great music – it’s been 4 weeks since michael’s release and 2 weeks since the Anyone’s Ghost release 👻 so great!
Thank you all for such amazing reception on these! We sold out so quickly on the t shirts and we also have hit like 6k streams so quickly on the EP! You’re all amazing – find it all on our linktree at www.linktr.ee/breadrecords 🍞🍞🍞
our SEVENTEENTH episode of Grain Radio has been out for a week now!

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the new single from Inadequate Flaws Band “Sun Rises”!
Based in Morecambe, Inadequate Flaws blend pop-punk vocals with a huge variety of influences, making upbeat songs inspired from their coastal town up North. the new song “Sun Rises” is an anthem to enjoying life and making the most of what you’ve got – it comes out this Friday 18th of June!
head over to their Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/artist/0DaH42yrqmsOFV7as59CCb and give them a follow to be notified when the new single is out! while you’re there, you can check out their previous EP “Pain Masked With Glory”
definitely worth keeping an eye on these lads, their indie-rock vibe with a unique Northern sound keeps them fresh and sounding fantastic. drop them a like to keep up to date!
another Sunday, another update to our Local Loaf playlist
some absolutely amazing new music out lately, and beautiful additions to the playlist including music from Szou The Lathums DandelionJames IORA and Idle Lies there’s so many great tunes in this playlist now, well worth checking out!
our Knead To Know feature today is the fantastic Tom Metcalfe Music! originally from Preston (we’ve known Tom a long time!) Tom has just moved to Manchester and is sure to be a familiar face on the local scene
not only writing his own music, Tom also works as a guitar tutor, teaching not only guitar but extensively music theory, which he is extremely proficient in – he’s easily able to make even the most complicated theory easy to understand for budding guitarists; we’ve spoken to him about all kinds of scales and he’s taught us a whole bunch!
he’s also a session musician, multi-instrumentalist, composer.. if you need anyone to jump in and help out on a track, get in touch with him! he attained a Master’s Degree with Distinction in Music (Performance) from Salford University last year with a record-breaking mark of 96! he’s often seen performing as a flamenco guitarist with dance accompaniment – definitely one to watch here in Manchester.
Tom will also be the featured artist tonight at Lions Den Bar Deansgate for Laura Farrow‘s open mic – come on down and catch him doing what he does, you’ll surely be astounded at his guitarwork! if you’re looking for a guitar tutor, get in contact with Tom for sure. one of the best around!
our very own Olivia Browse‘s single ‘Red Stripe’ has been out for 2 months now, somehow!!
we’re absolutely stoked to have put this out through the label, it’s such a fantastic tune and we’re still listening to it on repeat thank you to everyone who has listened to it, it’s at over 6000 streams over on Spotify

We have some absolutely amazing artists on this one, featuring some brilliant artists from the North West and there beyond ☀️ we’re super stoked for you guys to hear this! It’s an absolute pleasure to make these up for you, and this one is easily one of our best 😊
A big shout to each of the artists for letting us use their music for this – featuring music from:
IT’S OUT! Anyone’s Ghost‘s new EP ‘A Good Winter in June’ is available to stream over on all good streaming platforms, and to purchase and listen to over on Bandcamp. it’s also Bandcamp Friday as well so all proceeds go to the artists!
we are super super proud of this EP, with some absolutely beautiful songwriting and lyricism by Wanda, produced up by our very own michael webster – this song here in the video is the third track, “re: December’s Traditions”; a massive sounding grungy folk song inspired by the likes of PJ Harvey Phoebe Bridgers and Bon Iver
let us know what you think! we’ve got some merch on the way too, so keep your eyes peeled for that
incidentally, TODAY IS OUR 400TH POST IN A ROW ON THE WEBSITE and we’ve only just got Twitter….. find us over there at @bread_records – give us a follow and tweet us some lovely messages, or musical recommendations. we love those
we’ve been a bit quiet on the front lately, had to take a bit of time out. it’s been hard to balance all the label stuff along with actual work, but not to fret I am trying my best – just sometimes you have to take a lil bit of time for yourself. we have some exciting things coming up next month and will be chatting with u about it all shortly!
