we’ve got so many fantastic things coming up in June with so many mega gigs but this one is a real special one!
the fantastic Hit Like a Girl from New Jersey are embarking on a UK tour alongside their Brighton-based labelmates I Feel Fine and we’ve got them on at The Peer Hat with support from WYRES and Snake Parade – it’s gonna be a top one, we’re so stoked to be able to be a part of this!
we’re back with our next instalment of our monthly Cream of the Crop songwriter event this coming Saturday 4th of June!
with so much going on lately we may have been a bit delayed putting this out but we’ll be down there as per usual at The Thirsty Scholar with music all afternoon from Cameron DaviesKyle ToolanMike Grubert and Holly Morwenna! it’s gonna be a fantastic one with so many talented songwriters performing for us.

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Cliché Cult “Plastic World”
we’ve been massive fans of these guys for a while now, having featured a fair bit of their music in the past and they only keep going from strength to strength with every release, showing their talent and versatility through all the tunes they put out
this new single “Plastic World” sounds absolutely top, maintaining their usual style but sounding slightly more lo-fi and relaxed – it’s got a lovely atmosphere of droney guitars and synths, the rhythm section really ties the whole track together too and keeps the groove, all whilst the main vocal commands control of the track and really lays the foundation for the story of the tune so well
what a chorus too! a massive singalong tune. we love the breakdown, and that guitar solo erupts into the track with such ferocity – absolutely stunning from the chaps. well worth a listen and we’re excited to see where the band goes from here!

every single release from Olivia has been absolutely fantastic, so blessed to have her on the label putting out banger after banger and this one is so great – experimenting with different genres but still maintaining her iconic sound
there’s already a bunch of incredible artists confirmed and slots going for anyone who fancies it – going to be absolutely fantastic. always a lovely one at The Lass! starts up around 7:45pm or so, get in touch with michael if you want a slot!
