our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Cliché Cult “Plastic World”

we’ve been massive fans of these guys for a while now, having featured a fair bit of their music in the past and they only keep going from strength to strength with every release, showing their talent and versatility through all the tunes they put out

this new single “Plastic World” sounds absolutely top, maintaining their usual style but sounding slightly more lo-fi and relaxed – it’s got a lovely atmosphere of droney guitars and synths, the rhythm section really ties the whole track together too and keeps the groove, all whilst the main vocal commands control of the track and really lays the foundation for the story of the tune so well

what a chorus too! a massive singalong tune. we love the breakdown, and that guitar solo erupts into the track with such ferocity – absolutely stunning from the chaps. well worth a listen and we’re excited to see where the band goes from here!

yesterday was absolutely amazing with so many talented artists performing for us, everyone smashed their sets – and we’ve got even more performances today too! with music from Scatterchild Olivia Browse Anyone’s Ghost indefinite articles Jessamine Grace Thomas Rennie Max Macmillan Konna Spencer and Danny Carruthers – so many more talented musicians to come!

come on down today from 2:30pm to catch all the action – we’re raising money for Manchester-based foodbanks in association with Joseph Holt too, £3 suggested donation! we’ll be taking a break from the music at 7:30pm for the Champions League final and then we’ll spin some bangers afterwards!

the new single from Mr. Matthew Fisher “The Cash” is the feature for our Just The Crust today!

with a fantastic string of singles already behind him, Matt’s returned with a brilliant new tune which only expands on his signature sound – incorporating new elements in, but still sticking to his usual indie-rock theme!

a proper tongue-in-cheek anthem for the working class, “The Cash” discusses the financial issues that people face nowadays, with a huge singalong chorus, fantastic harmonies from his band, and a driving rhythmic element throughout, it sounds fantastic. Matthew’s vocal sounds great here, really adding to the sound of the tune – one to belt out on a summer day for sure.

here’s what we’ve been incredibly excited to announce!! we’re putting on the Manchester date for the Hit Like a Girl and I Feel Fine UK tour over at The Peer Hat!

these guys are both superb, with huge emo/pop punk vibes and so many fantastic tunes under their belt – it’s an honour to be able to help put them on here. we’ve also got support from the brilliant WYRES and Snake Parade, two of Manchester’s finest up-and-coming bands!
