we just wanted to do a post about how lovely our open mics over at The Lass O’Gowrie and Grafton Arms have been as of late!
we’ve had some absolutely incredible ones, and the stages have been graced by some of Manchester’s finest talents. it’s so great to be able to provide such a great platform for musicians and artists to perform, and we’ve heard so many fantastic people and had such a great laugh along the way!
we host The Grafton on every Tuesday night, and The Lass every Wednesday night – if you want to come and play, it’s open to everyone! just get in touch with michael webster for a slot!
absolutely STOKED to be able to say that the Anyoneβs Ghost EP “A Good Winter In June” we put out earlier this year has just hit 14,000 streams on Spotify
not only that, but we have ONE cassette tape left for it – we’re blown away by the support you guys have been giving for the release. we sold out of t-shirts in like 12 hours, had some absolutely beautiful reviews from you all and we’ve shipped tapes and shirts all across the world, from Australia to the US to Europe to here in Manchester!
we’re extremely proud of both Wanda and this EP and we are absolutely made up that you all are enjoying it so much. if you’ve not heard it yet, go and have a listen – you can find it on Bandcamp as well if you fancy a purchase and supporting us and Wanda! https://anyonesgh0st.bandcamp.com/releases
we’re back down at The English Lounge this coming Friday with our next Freshly Sliced gig

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new album from David Shurr “Under The Hood”! π₯ͺ
a full-length album of twelve songs, this album truly shows off Shurr’s fantastic ability as a songwriter and an artist. π blending psychedelic atmospheres with folky and indie genres, he’s able to create his own imprint on the musical scene and we love the relaxed and mellow vibes of it. π€
not only that, the production on the album is lovely, with expertly crafted soundscapes from the instrumentation, and Shurr’s vocals sound fantastic on this – brilliant work from all involved here. π€ from the relaxed and airy opener “Top To Bottom”, the album then evolves through songs like the acoustic ballad of “Never Grown” and then through to the bluesy “The Thread Connecting Us” π absolutely fantastic range of tunes whilst still maintaining his unique style.
