we hope everyone’s having a festive time today!

we’ve had a year to forget but there’s definitely some great stuff. from all the gigs and livestreams we’ve put on, to all the features we started doing for local music, it’s been a good laugh. look at all of the releases we put out!

we had even more plans, but we’re saving those for another day. grab a beer and relax (and listen to these lovely pieces of music we put out from michael webster and Adam Carpenter Music – we’re super proud of em)

just want to give everyone who has played our virtual open mic this year a big shout out. it’s been a difficult one for a lot of musicians but being able to keep our open mics going has been great, even if it’s in an online format.

a massive thank you to Harrison Rimmer Matt Finn CHRIS Bearsoul Morgan Phantom Teardrop and plenty more (way too many to mention) who have played week in week out for so long now and kept us going! never had a quiet one. real great!

our feature for this week’s Just The Crust is the lovely new single from Redwood – UK, “Honey Sauce”!

I know this isn’t so much a Northern release (as we usually do!) but when we heard this we fell in love with the way it shapes itself throughout the track, weaving its way through the music and providing a beautiful ethereal atmosphere for the listener to relax in! the guitar playing is super lovely as well, such a well put together track.

A huge weekend ahead of us! ❄️

we’ve got ourselves a proper boss weekend of live music and livestreams for you all

tonight is our weekly Bread Social virtual open mic! hosted by michael webster featuring some amazing talent from the Manchester scene! always a great one, 6pm-late

then on Saturday from 5pm we’ve got our Cream of the Crop: December *special*! where a grand total of 8 artists playing us into the seasonal fun! we’ll be raising funds for The Trussell Trust

and finally on Sunday night from 8pm we’ll have the amazing Tay Temple performing for us as part of our Fresh Batch: Tay Temple! feature where we get some of our favourite local musicians to play an extended set for us!

we can’t wait to enjoy ourselves and have a glass of wine or two whilst we’re still stuck in tier 3!
