today marks the FOUR YEAR anniversary of our first release with Alien Clouds – their debut album “Tidal Wave”! 🌊

we can’t believe it’s been so long since this came out – we remember working on it and producing it like it was yesterday! 😊 we’re so proud of this album, it’s a beautiful collection of songs that are so personal to AC and they’re so well written, it was an honour to be able to put this out! ❤️

it feels like an absolute lifetime since we put this out – a year before the pandemic and so so much has happened since then! ☀️ 15 releases and countless gigs and so many more artists. the start of an era, eh? 😆 this is a collection of some of michael’s earlier work, seven songs with tunes like “firewall” and “oceania rendevous” which we reckon you’ll recognise from any gigs!

how on earth has it been over a year since we released this EP “Obliterate/Ugly” with Adam Carpenter Music!? 😱

we recorded this with Adam prior to the pandemic, then produced it all up in our studio, worked on it tirelessly during the initial lockdown (the “three-week one”!) and then released it last year on the 8th of May. it’s been a serious journey since then, but it’s absolutely amazing to see that people are still listening to this. that’s all we want for our artists, to help them create something unique and personal to them and then for people to engage with it and share in the experiences of the songs 🥰

we truly believe that some of Adam’s finest-written songs are on this EP, with punky elements, singer-songwriter elements, it’s a real expression of Adam and it’s a beautiful sight to see when a piece of music does that. 🤟 highly recommend checking out “2:24” and “Obliterate Me” – such personal and relatable ideas in those songs, with a lovely lovely amount of distortion 🎸

this really set us on a journey – one of our first big releases, which we’re super proud of. all recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by michael webster. 🤟 we’ve come so far since 2018 but this will always hold a special place in our hearts. Adam’s such a prolific songwriter, with lyrics that are so relatable! 🖤

to celebrate, next week (Thursday 25th March) will be an extended open mic, starting at 4pm and going all the way through til around half 10 with extended sets from the amazing talents of Harrison Rimmer Mike Collinson Music Nat Dempsey Matt Finn Blacksheeplad and our very own michael webster! 🤟

a huge thank you to each of these artists for playing so much for us and keeping live music going in a time of coronavirus and pandemics! ❤
