our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Natives” from GETNER! π
a familiar face on the Manchester scene, GETNER seriously made their mark already, with a bunch of incredible tunes under their belt, a fantastic live performance that’s sure to get everyone fired up, and having done a bunch of sold-out headlines, they’re an essential band to get to know here in the North West π₯
this new tune “Natives” sounds incredible, opening up with a delicate soundscape, drawing the listener in to listen, and it opens up almost immediately into an energetic, riff-infused atmosphere that’s got a proper groove behind it. Quentin’s vocal takes centre stage and addresses the listener, ensuring their attention – and his lyricism is direct and poetic, really painting a picture with the songwriting. the track flows so effortlessly, there’s a proper dynamic behind it and it goes through so many different melodies and grooves, yet maintains a real connection between them, proving the band’s musical ability and ensuring the attention of anyone who listens to it π
