Just The Crust 16/12/24: Moss Valley – Creature 👊

16th Dec 202416th Dec 2024artist, bread, just the crust, local scene, new music, review, videoLeave a Comment

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Creature” from Moss Valley 🤘

their second offering, we loved their previous debut “Beyond“, which was an explosive and fierce introduction to the band – and when we had them perform for us, we were astounded by their stage presence and musical prowess! a must-see band 💥

this new single continues with their grungey sounds of the debut, yet with a more fast-paced, punky atmosphere – a real powerful guitar line forming the foundation of the track, with massive rhythm from the bass and drums working in perfect unison to provide a driving groove to the tune, leaving plenty of space for lead singer Zara’s vocal to take charge 👊 and with expert lyricism, depicting the story of a being that attempts to go against the grain, told in a well-woven tale 🌙

you can find the track on all streaming platforms, including on Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/album/22cnKmwF5A496WEEVP4qfG – well worth checking out ✨

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Luna Marble “Begging Mercy“! 🌙

we’ve been massive fans of Luna Marble for a long time now, having caught them performing live multiple times, having them perform for us and we love their previous tracks that they’ve put out, and reviewed a bunch of them! 👊

this new single only further encapsulates their talent, their motivation and determination – it continues fully within their old school rock and roll vibes, mixing influences from across the musical spectrum, with blues riffs, grungey tones and Maria’s powerful and commanding vocal taking control of the track, perfectly balancing to Dragos’ signature guitarwork. there’s a gorgeous dynamic within this song, balancing calm and atmospheric elements to the heavy, wall of sound distortion that is present in the chorus – it’s another well-crafted tune from them and well worth checking out! 🎶

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the explosive new single “Mood Ring” from FEAR of MARKO

a real standout talent on the Manchester scene, we’ve known Marko for a good while, having had him perform a bunch, caught him live at so many gigs and we’re always in awe of his unique and ferocious talent – with not only a captivating and impressive stage presence, but also backed with the ability to create truly personal and unique songs that will have anyone dancing along. a must-see artist!

we’re massive fans of his music, having had the last single on repeat this year – and this new single “Mood Ring” only proves his musical capabilities even further! it opens with a ferocious hook, backed with a wall of distortion and a driving drum beat that give a real energy behind the track – and Marko takes charge of the song with his gritty and raw performance, utilising so many genres within his style to ensure that you’re hooked on every word. his lyricism in this one is spot on – his ability to tell a story in such a personal and passionate way yet maintaining a serious element of cool is one that puts FEAR of MARKO’s music above the rest.

this new single is an amazing debut offering from them, an explosive track right from the get-go, with a lovely grungey atmosphere present – so many different influences present and interacting in a real unique fashion. it drops away for the verse, a gorgeous space opening up for lead singer Zara’s vocal to soar over the backdrop, with introspective and intricate lyricism within each line. it’s a fantastic listen, and the dynamic throughout the track is second to none; the walls of sound and groove really ensuring that the track is worth putting on repeat. 🤘
