Just The Crust 30/08/21: Granfalloon – Working On Your Own ☀️

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new tune from Granfalloon, “Working On Your Own”! 🤘

taken from the new album “Positive Songs”, this song is a lovely folky rock ballad that focuses on the crazy life of shift workers, especially throughout the pandemic – it’s a lovely tribute to those in society who are often overlooked! really great sentiment of the song. 🥰

with a mellow soundscape, relaxed instrumentation and fantastic vocals from Lomax, it really sets the scene of his music and gives you a real insight into his musical ability. 😊 sounding great with his band!

head on over to Bandcamp at https://granfalloonmusic.bandcamp.com/album/positive-songs to find the album in full – you can also go and listen on streaming sites. well worth a listen, one of the ones to watch on the Manchester music scene! 🤠

based down in Cardiff, The Rotanas are an energetic britpop band who have been on the rise for a few years now – they’ve got a great discography now and have been headlining stages and even did a headline tour back in 2019 🤘

when we heard this new single we defo knew we wanted to feature it – with a real 90’s atmosphere to it, it fills you with a proper sense of nostalgia for those older times 😊 we love the guitar riffs throughout, you can tell that these guys are gonna be huge! ✊

JTC 28/06/21: Rivver – Blue Lagoon ☀️

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new tune from Rivver ‘Blue Lagoon’! 😎

the Wigan four-piece return with yet another strong single, following on from their singles and EP last year – meshing indie rock with pop-jangly riffs, ‘Blue Lagoon’ really shows that Rivver are here to bring the summer vibes this year! ☀️

with a driving bassline controlling the track, unmistakably Northern vocals and a feel-good attitude throughout the track, there’s plenty to enjoy here as it erupts into the chorus with positivity and vibes that we’ve all been missing this last year. that guitar solo at the end and the building element of the track is class as well, super boss tune! 🤘
