our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the debut album “Complete Wisteria” from Leah Eccles! 🙌
this is her first full-length release – after a string of successful singles and an EP earlier last year, and it gives a real insight into Leah’s songwriting process, her stories and creative prowess 🤝
the album is a collection of atmospheric and ambient sounds, gorgeous melodies, and intricate passionate vocals – Leah’s ability to craft a luscious soundscape is on full display all through this album. the airy and ambient nature of the tracks really compliment her vocals, her raw lyricism is in abundance here and it really proves her creative talent. ☀️
today’s Just The Crust feature is the brand new release “A Moment of Clarity” from Black Brunswicker! ✨
we love Ethan’s music, always a pleasure to listen to it and we’ve had them perform for us a bunch – with spellbinding performances and such intrinsically crafted sets, they’re well worth catching live! 👊
this new EP is a fantastic show of their talent, with magical scenes and soundscapes throughout the full release, it’s a joy to listen to; so serene and peaceful, with gorgeous melodies leading the way on each of the tracks, and luscious atmospheres behind them – each element perfectly placed to balance to one another, proving Black Brunswicker’s ear for not only an effective melody, but also the knowledge of how to utilise what is next, and create a gorgeous backdrop for their music. an incredible release – one of our favourites is “Olde Magicks” – giving us rainy forest walking vibes! 🌙
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Old Sun, New Moon – “Lay Your Burden Down“! ☀️
we’ve had them perform for us a bunch over the past few years, consisting of two of our favourite artists collaborating to create something really special – every time we’ve caught them live, they’ve been spellbinding! 💫
after their first few releases, they’ve come back to the first song that they performed live together – it’s a luscious track, and you can really hear the chemistry between Ethan and Tom; matching each other perfectly throughout the track, with a soft guitar melody and Tom’s rough vocal flowing superbly, and Ethan’s ambient tones lacing the track expertly – ebbing and flowing throughout, touching on elements of distortion and feedback, but being controlled so well throughout. Tom’s vocal sounds amazing here, and his songwriting capability is on full display with such intimate, raw and image-inducing lyricism 🤘
it’s a fantastic tune, and it’s available to listen to on all streaming platforms, and you can purchase it on Bandcamp at https://oldsunnewmoon.bandcamp.com/music – well worth a download. 🎶

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new album from Black Brunswicker “High Peaks”!
ever since we met Ethan, we’ve been in awe of his talent crafting soundscapes with his acoustic guitar through the use of pedals, and his gorgeous melodies and atmospheres really set him as a one of a kind here in Manchester.
his album here “High Peaks” is a beautiful collection of his music, it’s a really lovely experience listening through to it all, with a really peaceful and serene ambience to it – beautiful guitar melodies that seem to just float throughout the bars, and you can really see the time and effort he’s put into each of the tracks, a very well-crafted collection of tunes here.
he’s released this album through Australian label Ramble Records and they’ve even got a vinyl pressing lined up for it which sounds amazing to us! it’s well worth a listen and you can find it on all streaming platforms, including Bandcamp at https://black-brunswicker-ramble-records.bandcamp.com/album/high-peaks where you can pre-order it on vinyl and support his music directly.

we’re so bloomin’ proud of this EP and the support you guys have shown it is simply tremendous. for a lil release on an indie label to hit this kind of level of streams is fantastic! thank you all so much for listening to it, buying our merch, and saying such lovely kind words about it all. how incredible!
tomorrow marks about ONE MONTH since we released A Good Winter in June with Anyone’s Ghost
we’re SO proud of this release. it’s been so lovely to see all your guys’ positive and lovely feedback on it, and we sold out of t shirts so quickly, and we’re a very good chunk through the tapes too!

our feature for this week’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from CECIL – “NOMAD”!
blending elements of 90’s hiphop with modern psychedelic rock riffs, NOMAD is CECIL’s second single of the year – with a whole bunch of releases planned for the near future! this song expertly blends so many genres, from jazz to psychedelia to songwriter to even classical elements… it’s got them all in there! a real mellow atmosphere to this track, kinda makes you feel like you’re floating on a cloud away from all the craziness that is in the world at the moment.
in his own words, “NOMAN is a reaction to looking into the mirror; the dichotomy of personal desires at the beginning of the day and at the end..” we can’t wait to hear even more from CECIL in the future – and we’re really looking forward to seeing this live! (soon enough, hopefully!)
