the North Wales based artist has been making waves over the past few years, with a run of incredible singles out and having performed across the country – plus, supporting The Sherlocks on their current tour! πŸ’₯

this is his first release of 2025, and he’s come out swinging with a hard-hitting, in-your-face tune that’s reminiscent of noughties indie, but with a modern feel – his songwriting talent really ensures that you’re hanging onto every word, and the story he conveys is down-to-earth and relatable. the song has a powerful energy, with a fierce singalong chorus, a lovely driving rhythm behind it and feeling fresh throughout the whole tune. a great listen and definitely one to watch for the future! 🀝

we loved her previous single “Don’t You Mind“, having reviewed it when it came out in November of last year, and she’s had an incredible run of gigs since then – we were stoked for this new single! β˜€οΈ

“Remembering” takes influence from a variety of genres, including soul, r&b, 60’s and even 70’s rock – it’s a gorgeous tune, and she’s blended all of these genres expertly to create something she can truly call her own style. there’s so much atmosphere present within the track, with a range of instruments all working in perfect unison to form the basis, and Naomi’s vocal takes centre-stage with it’s power, commanding the listener’s attention, yet with raw and personal lyricism that truly conveys her emotions in a poetic manner. it’s a fantastic listen and a great first track of 2025 for her – we can’t wait for even more! 🎢

this new single sounds fantastic, it’s a lovely contrast to their previous track, taking a more acoustic and moody approach to the tune – opening with a dark and atmospheric sound, feeling up close and personal with the band, really bringing you into the mellow feel of the song. it opens up with more production, bringing in a melodic piano to back the acoustic guitar, and flowing effortlessly to the final chorus of the song. 🎧

Just The Crust 21/04/25: Harrison Rimmer – Cheaper Than Therapy πŸ‘Š

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new sophomore album “Cheaper Than Therapy” from Harrison Rimmer! πŸ’₯

we’re massive fans of Harrison’s music, we’ve known him for a long long while now, covered a bunch of his music and had him perform for us loads! we were there at his debut album launch a few years ago, and we’ve been proper looking forward to this new one 🀝

you can really see his progress within the tracks on this album, his already-expert lyricism being refined and portraying more emotion, more stories from his life, and delivered in an excellent manner, both in the songwriting sense and through his musical ability – matched with quality guitar patterns and riffs that really compliment his vocals and lyrics. the full band also breathe even more life into these tracks, you can really feel the chemistry between all of them who are involved; each track feels full of energy and with a true sense of purpose and belonging upon the album. πŸ’Ώ some of our favourites are “Shores“, “Be Reet” and the re-release of an old favourite “Ripped Up Magazine” – Harrison’s ability to capture a listener’s attention and put his raw emotion and feeling out there is second to none. πŸ™Œ

the album is available to stream on all platforms, and you can buy a physical CD from his Bandcamp at https://harrisonrimmer1.bandcamp.com/album/cheaper-than-therapy 🎧

we covered his last single earlier in the year, and his intimate and delicate songwriting capability really sets him as a standout storyteller – and he’s been doing super well over the past few years, writing songs and performing them across venues all over! πŸ‘Š

this new single “The Spark” sounds incredible, a real testament to his musical ability – opening up with a luscious soundscape, with a gorgeous atmosphere, the instrumentation working in perfect unison to give so much space for Kilpatrick’s silky vocal to take command – and his down-to-earth and relatable lyrics capturing the attention, a tale of romance and attraction. the track flows so well, almost dream-like, and it’s a proper show of the quality production and musicality put into this tune. well worth a listen! 😊

the Midlands-based three-piece have a strong bunch of albums and singles under their belt already, with anthemic, punchy and raw tunes, and they’ve put out a proper belter with this new tune – ensuring themselves as ones to keep an eye out for! 🎢

this new track “Get Over It” opens up with a real in-your-face guitar riff, pounding drums and droney vocals, that create a moody and dark atmosphere behind the track – and the explosion into the chorus is huge, whilst the breakdown in the middle of the tune gives a real sense of breathing space, only to open up right back into the huge sound that they’ve cultivated. with a real driving feel behind the track, you can hear a vast variety of influences from different genres, and they’ve really brought them all together to create something truly unique to themselves. a must-listen for any fans of heavier tunes πŸ‘Š
