our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the new single from Daphne Did It, ‘Black Rose’!
Daphne Did It are a band that started in late 2020, with each band member recording their parts from home and working together over the internet throughout the coronavirus pandemic. The bassist, Ciro was part of War Stripes when we put them on last year!
‘Black Rose’ is a proper debut single, it’s got energy and power reminiscent of 90s alternative and grunge and really sets the scene for their future releases! can’t wait to see what this band has got planned!

bit of a different post for today but we just wanted to highlight this extremely important documentary that’s just come out in support of the music industry!
‘This Is Just An Interval’ is a short film created to highlight the effects that coronavirus has had on the industry, directed by Matthew Boone – in support of the #WeMakeEvents initiative hopefully this is able to reach those in government and educate them on the problems that live music is currently facing, and provide proper financial support for musicians, artists, and creatives in the music industry.
most of us all know about the devastating impact that this pandemic has had on local businesses, especially music venues and creatives – a real important one today
head over to https://youtu.be/bN9sI_P-gQE to find the documentary on YouTube, give it a share, a like, and make sure that it gets seen as many people as possible!

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new EP by Audrey’s Dance ‘Fag Ash Lil’!
Audrey’s Dance are a two-piece pop-indie outfit from Preston and we love the EP! It gives us a real feeling of binding Kate Bush with a more gritty, indie atmosphere that creates a lovely EP – definitely worth checking out. This song we’ve featured is the title track, but we really enjoyed the entirety of it!
here’s another teaser from our latest Fresh Batch feature with the wonderful Charlotte Mary!
Charlotte played a fantastic set for us, which you can rewatch over on her page but we’ve done a little teaser for her original ‘Man Up’ which she played here! you can find the full video over on our YouTube at https://youtu.be/EqQaoXYHJc4
