Just The Crust 09/03/26: Nat Dempsey – In The Long Dim Light ๐ŸŒ™

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “In The Long Dim Light” from Nat Dempsey โ˜€๏ธ

we’ve known Nat for ages now, and we’re massive fans of his down-to-earth songwriting style, and his innate talent to write a relatable and introspective song that has a real groove behind it, utilising his musical ability to create interesting and melodic progressions ๐Ÿ‘Š

this new single is full evidence of his ability, opening up with a gorgeous dreamy guitar melody that matches his flowing vocal expertly, there’s a real luscious soundscape to this track, and his vocal ability takes centre stage as he commands the attention of the listener with his raw power. his lyrics are almost like a conversation, connecting effortlessly with the listener – and the drop into the chorus is beautiful. yet another incredible tune under his belt ๐Ÿค

Just The Crust 02/03/26: Dreaming Of Citra – Never Looked At Me That Way ๐ŸŒ™

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Never Looked At Me That Way” from Dreaming of Citra! ๐ŸŽถ

we’ve covered these guys’ previous singles and we love their indie-rock/dream-pop esque style, with luscious melodies throughout their music and infectious hooks, and they’ve been gigging across Manchester a bunch, with a headline show next at YES in June! ๐Ÿ‘Š

this new single sounds fantastic, with a lovely atmospheric sound right from the get-go, with driving rhythm forming the foundation of the track, allowing for the guitar riff to soar expertly above it, and the main vocal takes command, ensuring the listener is hanging on every word, and it’s a real personal yet adeptly written track, with raw emotion in every lyric but also maintaining a singalong chorus. we especially love the middle eight build into the final chorus, a real slow build that works exceptionally – it’s a fantastic listen! ๐ŸŒ™

Just The Crust 23/02/26: Lost Lot – Noah ๐Ÿ‘Š

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Noah” from Lost Lot! ๐ŸŽถ

the indie-rock outfit have been making their mark on the North-East music scene for a good while now, performing at a bunch of venues and they’ve put out a great run of singles and an EP over the past few years ๐Ÿ‘Š

this new single “Noah” sounds fantastic, it opens up with a luscious guitar and piano melody that compliment each other excellently, forming a lovely soundscape for the main vocal to take centre-stage and ensure the listener is hanging onto every word. it’s a picturesque song, with fantastic imagery within the lyrics and has a real sentimental feeling to it – every element of the track contributes to the feel and there’s a proper groove behind it. an incredible listen! ๐ŸŽถ
