even after the Christmas break we’ve had some sensational open mics on Tuesdays at the Grafton Arms and Wednesdays at The Lass O’Gowrie!

they’ve been super busy with so many talented artists performing for us, it’s brilliant to see it continuing on into the New Year – plus, we’ll be back at the Flour & Flagon and Foundry Project Manchester in mid-January so keep your eyes peeled for them.

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new tune from our very own michael webster “waterlines“, taken from his EP “a northern perspective“!

the first single from the new EP, “waterlines” is a hard-hitting alternative rock tune about the difficulty of indecision set to a background of 90s’ grunge-inspired alternative rock. it’s a tune that you will have heard if you’ve been to any of his shows, having had it in the set for the past few years and finally putting it out in a studio version

with a chorus of “i wanna stay in, but i wanna go out.. just another dilemma of the nineties’ crowd”, it’s an introspective and bleak outlook at the state of 20-odd year olds today, those who yearn for a life of adventure yet also want to take time to bask in the solitude of their comfort. it’s one of our favourites from the new EP!

we had an incredible one down at the Grafton Arms on Saturday for the launch of “a northern perspective” from our very own michael webster

such a fantastic turnout and big love to everyone who came down and celebrated with us – plus, incredible sets from the amazing talents of Pat Gallagher Anyone’s Ghost janelaceymusic and Sam Tucker?. big shout out to them for performing and making it a real special night!
