Mike’s been on our radar for a good while now and he’s incredible, mixing pop and electronic elements with indie tunes – always a great one to catch live!
our first one of the year last week was top, and a fantastic display of the talent here in Manchester – if you’re keen to perform, get in touch with michael webster but slots are very limited so get on it asap!
looking at the cards we’ve got in our hand for this year and it’s a royal flush
we’ve got SO many amazing plans for this year, a load of releases coming up from our artists, massive gigs to announce, and maybe even more music going on…? it’s gonna be incredible
keep your eyes out for it all, in the meantime check out our current releases at www.breadrecords.bandcamp.com/music – so much already there!
it’s been super lovely getting so much positive feedback on it, plus our launch night was unreal and plus we even have CDs for sale for it as well over on our Bandcamp! a big thank you to everyone who’s checked it out in it’s 30 minute entirety
even after the Christmas break we’ve had some sensational open mics on Tuesdays at the Grafton Arms and Wednesdays at The Lass O’Gowrie!
they’ve been super busy with so many talented artists performing for us, it’s brilliant to see it continuing on into the New Year – plus, we’ll be back at the Flour & Flagon and Foundry Project Manchester in mid-January so keep your eyes peeled for them.
if you’re keen to perform at any of them, drop our very own michael webster a message for a slot – always a lovely environment and quality performers!
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new tune from our very own michael webster “waterlines“, taken from his EP “a northern perspective“!
the first single from the new EP, “waterlines” is a hard-hitting alternative rock tune about the difficulty of indecision set to a background of 90s’ grunge-inspired alternative rock. it’s a tune that you will have heard if you’ve been to any of his shows, having had it in the set for the past few years and finally putting it out in a studio version
with a chorus of “i wanna stay in, but i wanna go out.. just another dilemma of the nineties’ crowd”, it’s an introspective and bleak outlook at the state of 20-odd year olds today, those who yearn for a life of adventure yet also want to take time to bask in the solitude of their comfort. it’s one of our favourites from the new EP!
you can find the full music video over on YouTube at https://youtu.be/2DWjDPo3jIg – plus, the EP in it’s entirety of seven tracks is available on all the streaming sites too!
find all of our features, music, reviews and more on our website at www.breadrecords.co.uk
