Just The Crust 07/08/23: Baudelaire – Lose The Feeling ☀️

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new tune from Birmingham’s BaudelaireLose The Feeling“! 🙌

their gritty, synthy yet punky and dark tone really sets the backdrop for the track, a gorgeous and spooky atmosphere surrounds them – this is coupled with an infectious groove present throughout, which is sure to get anyone tapping their feet along. the chorus of the track is fantastic, a lovely contrast to the verses, as it almost soars above and elevates to another level; with rising synthesisers, gorgeous tones throughout and powerful vocals, it truly shows off the quality of the band here. 🌜the bridges takes it to even greater lengths, become more and more punky and breaking down so well to open up to the final chorus expertly. definitely one to check out!

you can find the track on all streaming sites, or you can check out the full music video at https://youtu.be/aCKLWSbs1SI – well worth a watch, a gorgeous video with insane choreography! 🤘

Anyone’s Ghost – The Secret History (Live at The Peer Hat 04/04/23) ✨

here’s a lil teaser of the first single from Anyone’s GhostThe Secret History” live from The Peer Hat in April 💫

the first headline gig as a band, it was sensational – big love to Latex Sounds for hosting us, and what a night with so many people down to support! ❤️ such a great way to celebrate the new single.

you can find the full video over on YouTube at https://youtu.be/sdSzzt_r5RE – a huge thank you to Harry King for filming the night! 🍞

Just The Crust 31/07/23: Souza – Morning Calling ☀️

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from SouzaMorning Calling“! 🙌

we were blown away by their previous release “Backroads” back in February, only adding to an already strong catalogue of releases under their belt, and this new tune only solidifies the quality in their discography ☀️

opening up with an energetic groove behind the track, there’s a real lovely lo-fi atmosphere to it all – the grungey guitar tones sound lovely, creating a lush backdrop for the vocals to shine through. the rhythm section throughout is super tight, holding the track down while the main vocal glides over, and for the lead guitar to find a space for that little riff to excel in. 🤘 even with the breakdown throughout the second verse, it still keeps up with the energetic feel – excellently executed! the vocal harmonies throughout really gel the track together, and keep it flowing; we imagine this one’ll be a great one live. incredible stuff! 🎸 plus, guitar solos in abundance on this, and they sound class, showing off the musical quality within the band.

you can find the track in it’s entirety over on Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/artist/0c5hCG9ExwjTFG9YjE5cDy – and the music video is out this Friday! 🎥
