Knead To Know: Days Are Done ☀️

here’s our next Knead To Know interview, with the amazing Days Are Done! 🤘

over the past year or so, they’ve been doing loads across Manchester, performing at various venues across the city and releasing tunes – we love their 80s-inspired feel with so many vocal harmonies lacing the soundscape and so much passion put into their music. ⚡️ their newest single “I’ve Tried” sounds absolutely gorgeous and we thought we’d get em for an interview! Find it in full below! 😎

Hey guys, thanks so much for doing the interview with us here. Tell us a bit more about yourselves!

Heya, we’re Emmy Kay – I’m a songwriter, singer, composer and actor originally from Manchester and Adam Lewis- singer, songwriter and BAFTA-winning composer originally from Wales.

The new single sounds superb, can you tell us a bit more about it?

Adam – It’s called “I’ve Tried” and it came out a couple of weeks ago. It’s a stream of consciousness really, thoughts about relationships and love. It’s half of a person’s conversation. Some things are hard to say but easier to say in a song. The last single ‘Say You Might’ was the other side of the conversation! It’s stuff one of us has really said for the most part. Musically it’s Pop- Classic Soul but with our own flavour. Influenced by a lot of our favourite artists like George Michael and Luther Vandross but it’s very much us. We’re creating our own sound and pushing it further every track we release.

What inspired you guys to start making music together?

Emmy – It sort of happened by accident. We knew each other through mutual friends and we just sat down with a “let’s see what happens” attitude which pretty much sums us up as a band. Adam was already in a band at that point and as that folded we just ran with this.

How do you go about creating your music? Do you home record, or use a studio?

We record everything at home – we have a very tiny home studio so we really are self-contained. We tend to slip into our own little world. But yeah everything’s done by us. We occasionally will get drums or a few other bits recorded remotely if we feel the track needs it but “I’ve Tried” is all us.

We’ve seen you take a little break from gigging – what have you been up to in the meantime?

We have! We’ve been writing, recording and much like everyone else, having the odd extentensial crisis. You know how it goes! We try and lean into remembering why we’re doing this now and again. So we don’t get caught on the music industry treadmill. Also living life, so we’ve got stuff to write about obviously.

Your previous singles sound absolutely brilliant, we love the harmonies and orchestral-sounding production on them. Who produces the music and what do you look for when producing?

Thankyou. We do is the short answer. It’s the both of us and it’s taken a long time to find a sound we were happy with and work out the journey we want to go on with the music. We started off doing acoustic stuff and we’re proud of those early singles but as our sounds developed and our writing has matured we wanted to move on.  Embrace all our influences. For us it’s all about finding the right sounds so we do spend a decent amount of time on that. We love harmonies, like you said. Stacked vocals and making just the two of us sound like an entire choir is our jam. We’re lucky in that we have an amazing mix engineer – Steve Power ( Robbie Williams, Womack and Womack) and he really gets what we’re trying to do. We’ll send him the finished track and he’ll add this amazing shine to it. He really fills out the tracks and understands us.

What are your main inspirations for your songs?

Lyrically – life . We have the joke that all our songs are based on a true story but it’s really true. Whatever happens, whatever we experience or we see other people experience we write about. A lot of it is “ I’ve felt like this, have you?”. We try not to censor or edit in the sense that we try to be as honest as possible. Musically – a mash of a lot of our favourite artists. We both love D’Angelo and 90s r and b but we also love Hall and Oates, George Michael, Crosby, Stills and Nash. In terms of modern artists – we love H.E.R, Leon Bridges, Snoh Allegra, Marina Diamandis. We’re Pop, Classic Soul but in our own way. You can still hear our Americana influences if you listen carefully too. But we also take influences from other stuff – fashion, movies, architecture. We try an absorb vibes from as much stuff as possible.

How do you write? Do you write together, or do you bring lyrics and melodies to the table separately?

Emmy – Musically we always write together. Adam will come up with some chords or I’ll hum a melody. Then we’ll see where it goes. We usually decide fairly quickly if it’s going in the bin or not. Lyrically – it’s me. I’ll run lyric ideas by Adam now and again but I write them.

Over the past few years, how have you been spending your time musically? (recording, writing etc)

Lockdown had the biggest influence on us. We really went into a ‘burn it down and start again’ moment with the band. Adam lost his Dad during that period and just being inside, everything was very emotionally overwhelming. It made us stop and take stock. Why are we doing this? What do we want out of it? We wrote a crazy amount of songs while everything was shut and our sound started to evolve.

When you’re performing live, what do you each find best about it?

Emmy – We both love being on stage. In fact that’s where you really find the songs cause you can feel them evolving. It’s funny cause the old more acoustic version of the band we were gigging sometimes 5 times a week but with this version we’re still tryna navigate our way through how to best convey these songs as best we can to an audience cause at the moment there’s still just the two of us.

What music do you listen to? Which artists inspire you to make music?

Adam – that’s a complicated question because we both have different tastes but overlap in the middle somewhere. I love Leon Bridges, disco (I’m a big Donna Summer fan), but I’m also a huge Guns and Roses fan, I love Metallica. But also Crosby Stills and Nash, 90s r and b…

Emmy – I also love Guns and Roses! I maybe have a bit more of a pop lean than Adam- I’m a long term Marina Diamandis fan, I love Ariana Grande, I listen to a lot of Jorja Smith but we’re named after a Nick Drake song (Day Is Done) cause we both love him, I’m a huge Joni Mitchell fan. I love Kate Bush. I love 90s r& b too. TLC is my jam and I think Babyface is one of our greatest living songwriters.  It’s definitely complicated!

Have you got anything else planned for the rest of the year?

Writing and writing. We’re not sure if we’re gonna release anything else this year yet. But certainly, there’ll be new music soon and gigs. We may do a launch gig in Manchester next year for some new music. Stay tuned.

we love doing these interviews, it’s so great to have an insight into each act’s writing processes, their inspirations and the such – fantastic to see what makes each act unique! we also really enjoy the fact that they do the production themselves, being able to have that creative control is something we often enjoy here at the label so it’s nice to see artists taking a more personal approach! it’s well worth checking out their new tune as well, another incredible release under their belt! a big thank you to them for partaking in this interview, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! 🍞

Just The Crust 19/09/22: Full Billy – All I Ever ☀️

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Preston’s own Full Billy “All I Ever”! 🤘

these guys have been making waves since they formed, we had them perform for us at our Toasted gig at the Grafton Arms and they smashed their set – proper talented chaps. ☀️

continuing from the huge sound of their debut single “Power Couple”, they’ve only expanded on their style of huge drums, powerful riffs and catchy, massive choruses – this new single sounds fantastic and we imagine it’s gonna be a belter live. 😎

it opens up with a massive wall of sound, lovely guitar riffs weaving their way around the rhythm section and then suddenly drops into an intimate and delicate verse that commands your attention – only to build so well with arpeggios, hard-hitting rhythm and suddenly exploding into the chorus with a wall of distortion that really forces its way into the forefront of the track. 😎 the bridge is laced with huge vocals, really showing off Joe’s vocal ability, before leading into a lovely melody-stricken outro that reinforces how tight these lads are as a band.

REVIEW: Green Wire – Upside Down, Inside Out 💥

Manchester’s indie-rockers Green Wire put out their brand new single “Upside Down, Inside Out” earlier this month! ⚡️

we’ve covered their music a fair bit now here on the website, and we’re huge fans of their explosive energy, captivating riffs and class songwriting that’s come to define their songs. Their previous releases are an apt example of their talent, we especially love “Cigarettes on the Dancefloor” and “T-shirt & Jeans“, both feel like a nostalgic trip to our late teens, late nights out and getting drunk in nightclubs. 👊

this new single stays true to their sound, with huge guitar riffs leading the track in, accompanied by massive rhythm sections that really make the track explode! after the massive intro, it drops down and gives way for the story to be told, and the main vocal takes command of the track, directing your attention to it so well and the songwriting is as great as ever, a gorgeous depiction of the romantic interactions between people. as it opens up into the chorus it regains the ferocity of the intro, sounding huge and with a massive singalong hook that we’re sure will be belted back at the band at any live gigs. 🤘

the bridge gives the track so much room to breathe, utilising the power chords from the rhythm guitar to give the drums their time to shine, with so many class fills really showing off the talent in the band, you can tell each member is so in sync with one another and gel so well – absolutely fantastic to see. it finally reaches the closing point on a final huge rendition of the chorus, we’re sure this one’s gonna be a belter to catch at their gigs, another brill tune from these lads.

you can find it on all the streaming sites including Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/artist/7HviO4x9zeD0zpo9UsZhtC?si=TYSVFRY4SsWWZ5jhxrTMCw – it’s worth checking out all these guys’ tunes, great catalogue already with only a few singles out. 🍞

Just The Crust 12/09/22: Gideon Foster – Days of Gold ⚡️

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Gideon FosterDays of Gold“, out last Friday! 🤘

Gideon’s a great friend of ours, having performed for us plenty of times at gigs and open mics and he always gives it his all – with carefully constructed songs, such great songwriting embedded in them all and a real lovely chap – we’re huge fans of his songs, what a talent! ☀️

with already a top catalogue of tunes under his belt, he’s returned with this new single “Days of Gold” which only expands on his sound – we’re huge fans of the soundscaping enveloping the track, almost an eerie and unsettling intro until it opens up into the chorus with a real catchy hook; it’s a fantastic example of his songwriting ability. 👊

it then feels almost like an indie-rock track with the drums providing an upbeat rhythm to it, giving the track an intensity that contrasts the earlier verse super well. the outro combines the two feelings of the track incredibly, keeping that faster tempo whilst maintaining some feel of eerieness to it – it’s such a well-crafted tune and one that Gideon should definitely be proud of having under his belt 😎

you can find it over on all the streaming platforms, or check out the full video over on his YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pHIBupldD8🤘 fantastic to see such quality coming out!

The Wrap: August 2022 ✨

we’ve got our August edition of The Wrap for you guys ✨ over the past month, we’ve seen a huge amount of incredible tunes being released, such a fantastic variety up North as well – so many bands and acts smashing it with their new music. we’ve collected a few here and reviewed them for you, check it all out below! ⬇️

Manchester-based indie-pop outfit Casinos have just released their debut single “No Longer Eighteen“! Right from the get-go, the track explodes into action with a huge sound, synth leads and huge rhythm – as it delves into the verse, it drops to make way for lead singer Matt’s vocal to fit perfectly above the instrumentation. With a hugely catchy chorus of the trials and tribulations of youth, we’ve had this on repeat all month! Astounding production on this as well from Red City Recordings, the tune sounds absolutely massive and compliments the sound of the band so well. We can hear this one being blasted out in 42s and other indie venues in Manchester – fantastic songwriting from the lads here, they’ve got an absolute banger for their first release and we can’t wait to hear even more! (SPOTIFY / APPLE MUSIC)

Liverpool’s own self-proclaimed “pop-punk princess” Kerry Feeney has just released her brand new single “Narcissist“! We loved her previous releases, having such a huge sound and unique style behind her music, constantly putting out songs with such an attitude and force driving them. This new tune only continues her tradition, full of passion and power – immediately opening the track with a huge drum fill that drops right into a huge wall of distortion, and as soon as Kerry’s vocal comes in she commands the direction of the track so well – delivering the emotion conveyed in the lyrics perfectly. The chorus is huge, her voice is incredible here and such a catchy chorus. The bridge is a perfect parallel to the rest of the song, giving the track so much room to breathe only to open back up into a huge middle eight that precedes the final chorus that we can only imagine would absolutely go OFF live. Yet another brilliant release under her belt! (SPOTIFY / APPLE MUSIC / YOUTUBE)

Leeds’ own Happy Families have just released their debut EP “Nowhere At All“! Throughout the entire release, gorgeous melodies and harmonies create a lovely soundscape for the EP – the main vocal sits so well above it all and sounds so beautiful as well. The acoustic guitar melodies almost tell a story within themselves, with delicate finger-picking defining the atmosphere, which perfectly balances to the vocal harmonies throughout the tracks. The use of percussion is perfect as well, being used dynamically to bring the lyrics to life, and in addition to this, the strings and other instrumentation used are the perfect icing on top of the songs. Well worth a listen – our favourite is the opener “Nowhere At All“, but it’s a fantastic debut release throughout. (SPOTIFY / APPLE MUSIC)

Glasgow’s Pizza Crunch is back with yet another single, a vast alt-rock banger “Romanticised Past” which sounds epic. The track starts off incredibly, feeling like they’re in an airspace hanger with such a great use of reverb and space, only to open up and flow comfortably into the first verse of the track. We’re massive fans of Pizza Crunch’s guitar riffs and this one is easily one of our favourites, soaring seamlessly above the track with a beautiful warm tone to it. The vocals sound fantastic, utilising a contrast in the verse to really balance out the feel – and you can easily tell the balance are so tight, so in touch with one another when they play; it’s conveyed so well on this tune. The use of delays and space throughout the song is on point, it adds so much to it all and is a great addition to the soundscape. Well worth listening to, plus their entire discography is incredible as well! (SPOTIFY / APPLE MUSIC / YOUTUBE / BANDCAMP)

Manchester-based electro-punks Sugarstone set the bar with their previous single “That’s Intense“! We caught them live back in June and they blew us away with their high-energy, explosive stage presence and massive tunes so we were super looking forward to this tune. And man, it does not disappoint! Blending electronic synths and drums with punky, distorted guitar riffs and huge basslines, it creates a gorgeous atmosphere that balances the blend of genres so well – an absolutely massive tune that would inflict serious damage when played at full volume. Catchy hooks and chaotic breakdowns define these chaps – if you’re looking for a fantastic live band, get down to one of their gigs! Incidentally, their brand new single “Happiness is Hard To Find” has also dropped today so even more for you to feast upon! (SPOTIFY / APPLE MUSIC / YOUTUBE)

Singer-songwriter Rosalind Joy, based on the outskirts of Manchester, has just dropped her EP “summer“! She’s performed for us a few times now and she’s captured the essence of her tracks so well in this release – opening up with “weeird“, a synthy dream-pop track with such a lovely groove behind it, gorgeous melody lines and fantastic vocals from herself, it’s a fantastic summery track with such personal and honest lyricism, the vocal harmonies throughout sound incredible and a great way to open up this EP. “Make Me Fall” gives way to a dancey track which sounds fantastic, maintaining her singer-songwriter roots whilst the production provides a lovely electronic element behind it, to create something that’s really her own sound. This is continued in the last track, culminating in a release that not only sounds lovely, but gives a breath of fresh air with such a unique style that Rosalind can really claim as her own! (SPOTIFY / APPLE MUSIC / YOUTUBE)

Manchester’s own gutter punks The Battery Farm have returned with their latest single “A Working Class Lad“! We’re huge fans of these guys, their previous releases are brilliant with such a huge sound – and if you’ve had the luxury of catching them live, they translate it so well upon the stage. The songwriting on this track is superb, giving a real socio-political commentary yet utilising simplicity throughout it all. We love to see it! Not only that, the guitar riffs, the massive walls of distortion, the rhythm sections’ explosivity, the ferocity of the vocals… it’s a huge track from the lads, absolutely fantastic with so much power and energy unleashed from the tune. Class stuff! (SPOTIFY / APPLE MUSIC / YOUTUBE / BANDCAMP)

Indie-rockers The Ruby Tuesdays have put out their latest single “She’s Got You“! Immediately erupting into the start of the track with huge drums, driving basslines and a huge guitar lead – it sounds fantastic already within the first few bars. As the guitars make way for the first verse, the vocal glides so effortlessly over the tune, as it goes into the pre-chorus it builds and builds only to explode right into the chorus, a super catchy and huge hook that we can imagine would be belted right back at the band in a live venue. The main riff is gorgeous as well, leading the track and directing its manner, whilst each and every other instrument only compliments it and show off the capacity and talents of the band. Well worth a listen, brilliant stuff! (SPOTIFY / APPLE MUSIC / YOUTUBE)

one of the best ones yet! so so much amazing music out, it’s absolutely incredible to see such a storrm of fantastic talent doing their thing and unleashing their creativity into the world. it’s always so great to see such a top variety, it shows how diverse and brilliant the local scene is. we love to see it! we hope you’ve enjoyed this as much as we have – big love to everyone who’s checked this out. ❤️

Just The Crust 05/09/22: Andrew Bradley – Sleepwalking ☀️

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Andrew Bradley “Sleepwalking” which came out last week! ⚡️

this is the first single from his new album and it sets the stage for it so beautifully – a really well-crafted song, so much detail in there, you can really tell how much care and attention has been put into every aspect of the song here.

the song starts with an indie-rock jangly feel, yet as it drops into the verse it becomes almost ethereal, with a huge dream-pop atmosphere with the spacey keys, Andrew’s vocal gliding softly across the top of the instruments and just a real lovely soundscape of gorgeous tones here. as it opens up, it shows the real sensitivity and intimacy conveyed by the lyrics and puts him as a songwriter who is able to not only conjure up fantastic imagery with his words, but also puts his feelings and emotions directly on his sleeve for the listener to connect with. 😊

we absolutely love this track, it’s a real pleasure to listen to and as we stated before, it’s been crafted so well, the production is on point – definitely a tune to pop on when you’re up for a nice relaxed time. not only that, we’ve heard the album in full as well, and you guys are in store for a gorgeous listen, so many fantastic tracks – easily a 4/5 star release from the North-East based songwriter. 🤘

you can find the single over on Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/artist/4ZfHFHGsVvhwLJxYR9E7Nu – give his page a like to keep up to date with the album and more from Andrew! 😊 well worth a listen to the full track.

Just The Crust 29/08/22: Hayden J Barlow – Night Combat 🗡

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Hayden J BarlowNight Combat” out this coming Thursday 1st Sept! ⚡️

we’ve covered plenty of Hayden’s music in the past and had him perform for us a bunch, an incredibly talented chap with so many tunes under his belt. it’s well worth catching him perform at a gig, his guitar work is incredible and with such a fantastic voice on him too. 👊

this new single has him delving into more punchy, rock-driven music yet with the lovely electronic production that we saw on his earlier releases – following the feel and atmosphere of his previous two singles “Breakaway” and “persona non grata” of which we loved both of them! ☀️ throughout the track the atmosphere is perfectly portrayed within his vocal delivery, really putting the listener in his shoes and relating so well.

the chorus is absolutely huge, with massive harmonies, distorted and autotuned backing vocals which only add to the massiveness of the track. a real testament to his production talent and musical ability – definitely one to check out, another in a long line of fantastic releases from him. 🤘

you can find the track on all streaming sites once it’s out on Thursday – in the meantime, head on over to https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/haydenjbarlow/night-combat to pre-save the tune!

EXCLUSIVE: Sleeping Together – Summer Girl ☀️

we’re super stoked to be able to bring you an exclusive review of the new tune from Sleeping Together, “Summer Girl” which comes out on all platforms tomorrow! 🤘

we had these chaps perform for us back earlier in the summer at The Grafton Arms, as part of our Toasted gig and they absolutely blew us away with their talent, songwriting and just how well they all gelled with one another performing. they played for us under their previous persona “Whatever The Weather” and we’re so made up to be able to have a lil sneak preview listen to the new tune ahead of it’s release. 😎

they’ve been hard at work over the past few months, recording and writing and you can tell right from the get go that this track is sure to be a real indie anthem. opening up with a cool and dreamy guitar lick, the track flows so well into the first verse, where the main vocal soars effortlessly over the rhythm of the track – a real calm and collected delivery, invoking lovely imagery that the listener can get lost in. as it comes into the pre-chorus, the track builds softly and carefully, yet there’s a real sense of urgency relating to the lyrics that works so well together. ☀️ opening up into the chorus, it’s a real sing-a-long hook that we can only imagine would be belted out from audiences all over at their gigs. we especially love the last line, “the sun it never sets so tell me why should I?” – a real celebration of the joys of the season and the memories that last for a lifetime.

as it comes into the second chorus, the prowess of the songwriting here really shows itself – you realise that the first verse is written from one perspective, and then the second verse is a response to that perspective; fantastic talent to be able to do this and really shows off their talent here as lyricists! as it comes to its conclusion in the outro, we love the controlled explosion of distortion and extended fills, stops and the such which really give the track the ending it deserves. amazing stuff from these chaps! ⚡️

you can find the track out on all streaming platforms as of tomorrow – presave link is here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/whatevertheweather/summer-girl and it’s well worth checking out the track, gonna be a repeat on our playlists for sure! 🍞

Knead To Know: Luna Marble 🎸

we’ve got our next Knead To Know interview for you all with the amazing up-and-coming Manchester rock outfit Luna Marble! ⚡️

over the past year or so, they’ve been making waves performing across the city and dazzling audiences with their huge sound, belting riffs and incredible stage presence – we love their debut single “Running” and their latest tune “All of My Love” only shows off their talent and prowess even more!

you can find our full interview below! ⬇️

Hey guys! Thanks for doing this interview for us. Tell us a bit about yourselves!

We are Luna Marble, a 4 piece hard rock 70s-inspired band from Manchester! We have often been described to have anthemic, stadium-ready songs with big choruses,  relentless riffs and hard-hitting grooves, although that is for you to decide!

How did you start the band?

Believe it or not Maria, our lead singer, had many of our songs already written and she was always in the hunt of the perfect band to bring them to life. David (bass) and Sean (Drums) went to the same university as Maria, and they had previously participated in different sessions recording/ performing ensembles together prior to our band. However it wasn’t until we met Dragos, our guitarist, that this formation happened to be. Maria and Dragos started hanging out at the beginning of the first lockdown and their shared passion for music led them to start jamming out and writing songs together. Eventually we asked David and Sean to have a jam with us and the rest is history….

We’ve seen you performing all across Manchester, what have been your favourite gigs?

We have to say that every time we have performed at Gullivers or Castle Hotel, it has been great! We are lucky as well to have very supportive friends and fan base that always bring a good party to our shows and it’s great to see how little by little our following keeps on growing making each gig very special for us!

What do you enjoy most about performing live? Is it the atmosphere, the crowd, getting to play some tunes?

Many things! It’s a combination of the excitement of finally sharing what we have been working on and the feedback from the crowd making us play harder and louder! It’s such a unique atmosphere, unique to the moment, and we are out there living out our dreams, we wouldn’t want to do anything else.

You’ve just released your second single “All Of My Love” – we love it, and your first one was also an absolute banger. Tell us a bit more about the tune!

As previously mentioned Maria had some of our songs written prior to the band. The riff came to her back when she was 17 and has been through so many arrangements and bands until our current formation. Dragos definitely took the riff and made it his own, combined with Sean and David’s solid grooves gave the song the right energy it needed.

The song is supposed to be empowering, with raging vocals and a playful instrumental releasing into big choruses, giving the perfect supercharged rock and roll anthem.

What are your main inspirations for your songs?

70s music from bands like Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac or Pink Floyd definitely play a big influence on us, especially in Maria’s approach to melodies, songwriting and arrangement.  However, we all come from different backgrounds. Dragos coming from a more Prog-rock background makes his solos and rhythm playing up to virtuoso standards. Davids brings a lot of solid groovy bass lines and fills from bands like Royal Blood or Muse. And finally Sean’s hard-hitting drumming approach, from bands like Metallica.

How do you write? Do you take a group approach to it, or is it mostly one person who writes the songs?

Our writing dynamic has changed a lot during the time we have been a band. Maria had many unfinished ideas which she developed with Dragos, or Maria would pick on riff idea from Dragos and we would both sit and make a rough demo on Cubase, that we would later workshop in our band rehearsals. However as time has gone by we definitely jam together more and try to build a song from scratch all together, which makes the process more enjoyable and makes us closer as a band!

Where do you record? Have you got a home studio?

We were lucky that Maria was in the recording and production degree in uni, so we made most of our recording at uni, engineered by herself. However we are branching out to try different things and recently started working with Alex Miller who helps us in the process!

What do you think is the main thing that each of the band members bring to the table?

Each member brings their own unique qualities to the band. Maria is a very creative person, she comes up with all sorts of ideas for songs, arrangements, decorations for gigs, recording techniques and many more. More often than not the dynamic in the band is the boys putting together the ‘crazy frenzy’ of Maria’s ideas.

Where does the name “Luna Marble” come from?

Funnily enough it took us a good half a year to settle on a name… Dragos had in mind something to do with ‘marble’ because of it being a white rock he thought it would be appropriate for our rock style. Also its white colour suited a female fronted band he thought as well. Maria wanted to have some sort of cosmic reference in there as well and it was David who came up with the idea of using ‘luna’ (moon) as part of the name. We finally settled on Luna Marble after a long process of trial and error.

There’s a lot of classic rock within your tracks, but what kinds of other music inspire you?

Many more, as we said above Dragos grew up listening to a lot of prog and metal so there’s that influence (even if more subtle) and Sean loves his metal as well especially Metallica. There’s certainly a more modern influence as well coming from the big 4 grunge bands up until modern-day Muse and Royal Blood.

How was the single launch on the 17th August?

It was great, thank you! It was nice to put our own event at Gullivers again, and bring everyone together to celebrate a night full of great music! The support bands were incredible, we had a new set and a surprise guest on the organ. We couldn’t have asked for a better night and we got a bit creative with the stage, which looked amazing!

Is there anything else in the works?

There is always something else in the works! We have many songs already written and we are working on releasing as much of them as we can. However we have been toying with the idea of an Ep for a while… All I can stay is stay tuned into what we are up to because we are always pushing our creativity further and further….

it was brilliant to chat to the band here, we’ve been huge fans of their music since we heard their debut single, and their set for us over at The Grafton Arms during the summer for our Toasted night was absolutely breathtaking. ☀️ we’re sure that they’ll be making huge movements with the release of new music and more gigs – if you’re able to catch them live, it’s well worth it. a big thank you to them for partaking in this interview, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! 🍞
