Newcastle’s shoegaze icon Hannah Robinson returns with her brand new single “Ruining The Moment“, her first of the year! we’ve been big fans for a good few years now and her innate ability to write a track that’s anthemic, yet relays raw and honest emotion is second to none. with big guitar sounds, dreamy soundscapes and powerful vocals, it’s an incredible track and yet another superb song under her belt.


Liverpool songwriter Bunny Alex has just released her latest single “I’ll Be Alright” – we covered her previous single and are huge fans of her atmospheric dream-pop style. her raw and passionate lyricism is complimented by her ability to portray a conversationalist tone, setting her songwriting capabilities above the rest. the track has a real contrast to it, with a vulnerable and emotional lyrical tone, set to a dreamy, upbeat backdrop. it’s a gorgeous listen!


Manchester-based outfit Velez have just put out their debut single “Secrets“! we caught these live at the end of last year and we were blown away by their ability to captivate an audience with their musical quality. this track feels like a delicate conversation lyrically, and Cloe’s vocal flows effortlessly across the track, and there’s a luscious atmosphere behind it, with expert musicianship present throughout. the track has such a lovely groove behind it, and it’s definitely one to check out!


a familiar face for us, Rob Crampton has just put out his new EP “A Sweet Kind Of Sickness“! we’re huge fans of Rob’s songs, with expert lyricism that really paints a picture throughout each line, matched with delicate and lovely guitarwork that really compliments his vocal ability. this EP is real evidence of this, with four tracks that sound fantastic, and flow so well between one another to create a fantastic EP that will be a firm favourite for any fans of americana music.


Manchester indie-rockers Bayboards just put out their new single “Good For You“! we’ve covered their music a bunch in the past, and we love their driving, upbeat indie tunes – they’re always able to craft a singalong anthemic hit that will have any audience dancing around. this new single sounds mega, a tongue-in-cheek track with lovely guitar runs, luscious synths lacing the track and a proper driving groove to it. well worth checking out!


in the quest for his gig a day this year, Isaac Neilson has just released his new single “Falling Down“! we’re huge fans of his music, having reviewed it a bunch of times now, and his innate talent to create an anthemic tune is second to none. his songwriting style is quality, always so expertly complimented by the production on the track, and this tune’s got a fantastic flow and groove behind it that is only accentuated by his commanding and powerful vocal ability. another banger under his belt!


Warrington-based alt-rock outfit Punch-In have just put out their second single “This Is Not an Intervention“! this tune’s got a real drive behind it, blending a range of genres to create their own sound – and with honest and retrospective lyricism, it’s a quality track. there’s a real dynamic to the track with the downbeat vocal, yet driving and powerful instrumentation, a contrast that really sets the scene for this track until the final chorus where it opens up into a huge anthemic finale.


Manchester-based songwriter Mia Carmen has returned with her first single of 2026, “Crazy” – a real 80’s disco-inspired tune, with a gorgeous soundscape behind the track that sets a proper upbeat setting, with bouncing rhythm and luscious synths that really compliment Mia’s vocal, and shine a light on her songwriting ability. her direct and infectious lyricism is well-suited to the driving production of the track, and it sets for a proper singalong anthemic that’ll stay in your head for weeks!

REVIEW: Limbo Days – Man On The Moon 🌙

Manchester-based singer-songwriter Limbo Days have just released their new single “Man On The Moon“!

over the course of the past few years, Elliot has put out an incredibly strong run of singles that have really set him apart as one to watch on the scene, with a real aptitude for creating a soulful track that encompasses both emotion and musical ability. his songwriting ability allows him to convey his feelings and passion in a manner that’s easily relatable to any listener, proving his quality to create authentic and powerful music.

this new single “Man On The Moon” is true evidence of that quality, opening up with a luscious piano pattern that creates a gorgeous backdrop for the track, allowing for his vocal to take centre-stage as it flows effortlessly across the melody line, and with the addition of strings, saxophone and backing vocals, it envisions a dreamy soundscape that truly compliments the excellent songwriting. as it opens up into the chorus, the rhythm drops in and gives the track a proper groove behind it – the track has a real story to tell and it’s truly a wonderful listen!

Just The Crust 20/04/26: Maya Kally – A Window Left Open ☀️

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new EP “A Window Left Open” from Maya Kally

the singer-songwriter has been making a name for herself over the past few years, and has just finished a UK tour in preparation for the EP release, performing at a bunch of venues all across the country 🤝

the EP sounds incredible, there’s a real sense of authenticity to it, with a luscious soundscape within each song, between the guitarwork, vocal and production, which really shines a light on Maya’s songwriting talent and vocal ability. her lyrics are poignant yet grounded, with a real power to connect emotionally with a listener and relay stories in such a poetic manner. it’s an incredible listen 🎵

Just The Crust 13/04/26: Double Negative – The Vampire 🕯️

our feature for today’s Just The Crust feature is the brand new single “The Vampire” from Double Negative 👊

originating in Bolton in 2024, the alternative-rock 4 piece have been performing across Manchester and the surrounding areas for a good while now, and have established themselves as a real presence on the local scene 👊

this new single is evidence of their innate ability to write an infectious and raw tune, with driving rhythm forming the foundation of the track, which allows for the vocal to take centre-stage and ensure the listener’s attention, complimented excellently by the lead guitar riff, which culminates in a real down-to-earth sound they’re able to call their own, using a variety of influences from different genres to hone their craft. 🎶

Just The Crust 06/04/26: Arliston – The Older I Get (Live At 123 Studios) 🎶

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new live single from ArlistonThe Older I Get“, live at 123 Studios 👊

the americana/folk outfit have been making their mark for a good few years now, and with a fantastic back catalogue of music behind them, they’ve released this live track to celebrate a year since their debut album! 💿

the track sounds fantastic, a gorgeous soundscape crafted between the acoustic guitar and cello, which work in perfect unison to provide a luscious backdrop for the vocal – the delicate delivery and raw lyricism ensure the listener is hanging onto every word. we love the slow build of the full instrumentation in the first chorus, and it culminates in a lovely, flowing outro to the track, feeling both intimate and open; it’s a gorgeous listen and we can’t wait to hear what they’ve got in store next! 🤝

Just The Crust 30/03/26 Jenni Orlopp – let me go 🌙

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the new single “let me go” from Jenni Orlopp 👊

the Manchester-based alt-pop artist has a strong repertoire of music behind her already, with a run of singles and EP released, and her dark-wave styled genre-blending tracks have set her as one to definitely keep an eye out for ✨

this new single sounds incredible, right from the get-go it’s got a driving energy, with a dark and fierce synth line forming the base of the track, powerful rhythm complimenting the groove and her vocal takes centre-stage, delivering personal and raw lyricism expertly. she utilises flowing melodies throughout the track, with guitar riffs and synth runs that work in unison to create a vivid atmosphere within the song; she’s able to paint a fascinating picture through the track, with an incredible use of lyricism, instrumentation and production. 🌠

one of our favourites on the scene, Lydia Prettyman has just put out her new single “Saint“! we’ve loved her previous releases, and her ability to convey a real story with her songwriting is second to none, and this track is real evidence of that; it’s got a gorgeous backdrop to the track, and builds effortlessly throughout – a real testament to her talent. it’s well worth checking out!


we had Creepy Crawly play a set for us last year, and we were blown away by her performance – her ability to write a captivating and quality track is second to none! her new single “Buttercup” here sounds incredible, it’s got a range of influences to it, yet feels fresh and new; a lovely feel-good tune that feels perfect for a spring listen.


another familiar face for us, we’ve covered By Wednesday’s music a bunch in the past and we’re massive fans of their tunes – and this new single “Ten Den” sounds fantastic. it’s got a gorgeous atmosphere behind the track, with shoegazy influence mixed with their signature alt/lofi sound; it evolves to have a real groove behind it with heartfelt songwriting that really sets them apart as ones to watch for 2026.


Manchester indie-rockers Adelphi have just put out their new single “Retrograde“! they’ve already got a great run of tunes behind them, and this song sounds mega – it’s got a real upbeat and driving flow behind it, and with powerful, commanding vocals, a huge rhythm section and anthemic singalong choruses, it’s sure to get a crowd going. well worth a listen!


another one of our favourites, Black Brunswicker has just released their new single “It’s A Long Way From Home“! we love their ambient, atmospheric, dreamy tunes – and this one sounds incredible. their innate talent to be able to craft a luscious soundscape is unmatched, and the use of textures and melodies really makes for an incredible listen.


Indie-rock outfit Gallaher’s Green have been on our radar for a good while now, and we love their no-nonsense, driving and powerful tunes. this new single “Whole Lotta Nothin’” is real proof of their quality, with a proper groove behind the track, driving guitars, and commanding vocals – it’s a fantastic listen and we can’t wait to see what they’ve got for us next!


we had The Marra’s perform for us last year and we were blown away by their quality, their tunes sounded fantastic and you can really hear the passion they put into each track – this new single “Night of the Vulture” is full evidence of that. it’s got a lovely guitar melody behind it, powerful rhythm forming the foundation and huge, anthemic lead vocals that really elevate the track. their songwriting quality is on full display here, a proper singalong track – we’re looking forward to seeing what the year has in store for them!


we’ve had Boxfires on our radar for a while now, and with their anthemic punk tunes, they’re making a real name for themselves! their new EP “A Broader Dispute” just came out, and it sounds mega – their sound is excellently refined, they’ve got a real identity to their music, with huge rhythm sections, singalong choruses and powerful guitar solos; it’s a fantastic listen!

Just The Crust 23/03/26: Chloe Charlotte – REAR VIEW 🌙

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “REAR VIEW” from Chloe Charlotte 💫

over the past few years, she’s been releasing a bunch of incredible tunes, performing headline shows across Manchester and making a real mark on the scene, ensuring her as one to keep an eye out for in 2026 👊

this new track sounds fantastic – it’s got a proper grungey atmosphere to it, with a pop-infused influence that compliments the track expertly, and singalong lyrics that only prove her songwriting ability, being able to portray raw and personal emotions in image-inducing lyricism that’s not only able to paint a real picture of feeling but make for a singalong anthem that’s relatable and musically adept. there’s a lovely soundscape to the track that compliments the songcraft superbly; it’s an incredible listen and we can’t wait to hear what comes next 🌙
