our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the new single from Motel Sundown “Watch Which Way The Wind Blows“! ๐ซ
we’ve covered Motel Sundown’s tracks a bunch in the past and we’re always blown away by their talent, their ability to create a gorgeous atmosphere in their music and how they’re able to write intricate and interesting melodies and lyrics ๐ถ
the Liverpool-based trio have returned with this new single, and it sounds absolutely incredible – opening with a gorgeous guitar melody that is perfectly complimented by the violinwork, and giving plenty of room for the main vocal to shine. the track feels dreamy and flows effortlessly, and the rhythm is soft yet brings a real sense of groove to the song – and as always, gorgeous vocal harmonies; and luscious lead riffs from the guitar and violin which really give an upbeat lift to the middle section. yet another incredible track under their belts ๐
we had a spectacular open mic on Tuesday at the Grafton Arms with so many amazing acts performing for us ๐ถ

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new EP “75019” from C Douglas ๐ถ
the Manchester-born, Paris-based songwriter has released this EP on Todmorden’s Golden Lion Sounds – and it’s his debut EP, following the release of singles from it throughout last year ๐
the electro-folk sound of it is infectious, with luscious synths, driving rhythm and groove behind each of the tracks, lending a lovely atmosphere to his folky, americana style songwriting. his lyricism is direct, personal, and relatable – his ability to write a hook is second to none and sure to have any listener singing along. ๐
