our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Mad By Mourning “Black Car“! ๐
we covered their previous single last year, “Creature Of Habit“, and we were astounded by their gothic, industrial sound – yet infusing a range of various influences, to truly create something that they can call their own – you can hear punk, metal, emo and chock-full of lyrical ingenuity, catchy hooks; it truly set them as ones to watch! ๐
this new single begins in a more moody, darker vein compared to the previous, with a riff heavy, distorted atmosphere in the opening stage – it gives a load of room for the main vocal to take command in the first verse, demanding the listener’s attention – utilising the soundscape effectively, and with a fantastic, catchy and lyrically adept chorus – they’ve only gone beyond our expectations for this one. the grunginess and heaviness of the track is perfectly balanced with the more atmospheric elements of it, a lovely use of dynamic and contrast – fantastic to see, well worth a listen!! ๐ง (also with a luscious guitar solo too!)
you can find the track on all streaming platforms, and there’s a visualiser available to watch on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYhj11V7-g0 – check it out! ๐

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Getner “Poitรญn”
we had them perform for us the other week and they were absolutely incredible, with such a great energy and stage presence, plus so many bangers under their belt
this new single “Poitรญn” sounds unreal, a lovely atmospheric vibe and super droney, as Quentin’s vocal commands the attention of the listener – there’s an incredible build in this song too, slowly unravelling to the chorus that’s a real earworm. there’s a lovely rock and roll element to it, but it’s got so much alternative and grungey influence; a real unique sound to it and a fantastic show of their talent.
you can find the track on all streaming platforms, and it’s available to watch on YouTube at https://youtu.be/dVpff_F57Sk – well worth checking out!

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Sheffield’s Pale Sailor “jorts season.“! ๐
they formed last year, and this is their second single – after a fantastic debut track in March, which really set the scene for their emo/mid-west tone, with intricate soundscapes and intimate lyricism. we love their attention to detail, with gorgeous riffs and upbeat rhythm forming their music – and their second single here only accentuates that! ๐ค
they’ve gone from strength to strength over the past few months, and “jorts season.” sounds fantastic, with grungey undertones, honest lyricism and driving rhythm really coming together to create an amazing tune. it’s got a lovely groove behind it, and there’s a brilliant dynamic, with a real sense of build throughout the whole track, proving their quality. what a track! ๐ซ
today’s feature for our Just The Crust is the brand new single from LEASH “Restless“! ๐
the Manchester noise-rock outfit have returned with a brand new single after their debut EP, and they’re back with an explosive track – energetic, grooving and pushing the barriers of genre, it’s an incredible tune ๐ถ
you can hear inspiration from so many areas, from post-punk to industrial to hip-hop, utilising as many elements at their disposal to really create something truly unique. the contrast between the calmness of the verses to the chaos of the breaks and choruses sets a frantic but luscious soundscape, and the vocals command the listener’s attention throughout – an incredible first release of the year for them! ๐ค
it’s available to stream on all streaming platforms, and you can watch the full video on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhWoxwoyIrs – well worth checking out! ๐ฅ
