it’s bound to be a fantastic night of music, we can’t wait – and with support from Celebratory Cake and John Wilson, there’s incredible one in store for us.
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from William Cawley, “Regine/Or?” ☀️
we covered his previous release towards the end of last year, and his upbeat indie-rock styling is great, reminiscent of surf rock and 60’s sounds; chock full of jangly guitars, vocal harmonies and singalong vibes. 👊
this new single is more of a downbeat, moody and atmospheric vibe – especially with the guitar tone, a more post-punk 80’s feel, yet still with the energetic drumbeat that we became accustomed to in his previous work. it’s a more direct track lyrically, a more ambient feel yet still full on and loud 🙌 the breakdown at the end is like a lovely contrast to the rest of the track, and it jumps straight back into a final run of the chorus expertly.
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Cliché Cult “Say It Like You Mean It”, out this coming Friday 28th January
the Leeds-based alternative rockers have released a flurry of fantastic singles over the past year or two, and this is their first release of 2022 – they’ve had some fantastic tunes out in the past which have really set them as ones to watch in Yorkshire!
this new tune “Say It Like You Mean It” is a proper belter, with lovely guitar riffs driving the track forward, chorusey and ambient melodies throughout and boss vocal ability throughout, paired with lovely lyricism – it’s a real class tune to not miss out on if you’re a fan of indie, alternative or post-punk bands
we’re huge fans of the ending to the track, building and building keeping you in a state of suspense as the tune unravels and opens up – and the way that the bass and drums maintain the groove of the track whilst holding their own is class! a real well-crafted song, great to see this calibre of stuff coming out.

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from DEAFDEAFDEAF “Odes”! 🤟
proper loving this tune, a real great one from the Manchester post-punk outfit. they’ve had some great responses to their earlier singles, and this one proves they’re in it to push the boundaries of their music and keep growing as a band (which, you gotta love to see.) 😊
maintaining that post-punk sound in an age of modernism, DEAFDEAFDEAF are definitely ones to watch for the future! with driving riffs, huge sounds, and wavy guitar melodies, we’re massive fans of this track. head over to YouTube at https://youtu.be/mRE3K75_Lvg to catch the video in full. 👊 well worth a watch. big love to Disobedient Records for putting this out!
here’s another one for you!! we’ve got an absolutely jam-packed fun-filled punk gig for you here 🎸🎸🎸
we’re down at Zombie Shack on the Friday 8th May with the return of our ‘Baked Goods’ event but this time with five of our favourite punk and alternative bands! ⚡️⚡️
