Just The Crust 05/05/25: The Velvetines – Where do you go? ๐Ÿ‘Š

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from The Velvetines, “Where do you go?” ๐Ÿ’ฅ

the Bolton-based indie/rock outfit have taken this year by storm, having performed across the North West at various venues, and releasing two singles that have done superbly, they’ve really cemented their position as ones to watch on the upcoming scene. ๐Ÿ‘Š

this new single sounds fantastic, it’s a lovely contrast to their previous track, taking a more acoustic and moody approach to the tune – opening with a dark and atmospheric sound, feeling up close and personal with the band, really bringing you into the mellow feel of the song. it opens up with more production, bringing in a melodic piano to back the acoustic guitar, and flowing effortlessly to the final chorus of the song. ๐ŸŽง

you can find the track on all streaming platforms, including on Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/track/7hjEu3I18m2MdsXH8GGVIU?si=ea2def85e0414215 – well worth checking out! ๐ŸŽถ

the Birmingham-based emo outfit have been taking the scene by storm recently, having a strong discography under their belt already and performing across England at various prestigious venues! ๐Ÿ‘Š we reviewed their previous single last year and couldn’t wait to hear this!

this new EP sounds fantastic, chock-full of luscious guitar riffs, energetic and powerful rhythm and fierce and commanding vocals from the lead singer, really showing their desire to make music for themselves. there’s a real 2000’s throwback mixed into the tunes, along with other inspirations that ensure Vienna are ones to watch on the upcoming scene! the tracks are energetic and exciting, yet at the same time intimate and well-crafted – it’s a fantastic listen and one to check out for any fans of emo / punk music! ๐ŸŽถ
