today marks four weeks since Narwhals released their latest single, “Airport Runs“!
a huge thank you to everyone who’s checked it out, given it a stream or bought it on Bandcamp – your support is what enables us to keep doing what we do and putting out releases.
we’ve got a very small amount of half-price tickets available now on Skiddle at https://skiddle.com/e/37181402 – general sale tickets on sale from 9am on Saturday morning!
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from VALA “Fishes“!
we’ve been huge fans of VALA for a while now, having reviewed their past few singles which sound mega, a real lovely atmosphere to them and such a feel-good sound. we caught them at The Deaf Institute on Friday and they were class – well worth heading to one of their live shows!
this new single only extends to their already-fantastic discography, with a gorgeous guitar melody laying the foundation of the song, a tight rhythm holding it together and the main vocal utilising the space of the track superbly, especially with the use of the autotune to bring a more synthetic sound to the song – it’s still got the upbeat elements of their previous releases but brings all of their different influences to it, which is brilliant to see.
today marks a whole year of Olivia Browse‘s “love at first might as well“!
almost 60k streams on Spotify, a huge thank you to everyone who has listened – brilliant to see. you can find it on all streaming platforms, and on Bandcamp at https://oliviabrowse.bandcamp.com/
it’s gonna be a super special night, celebrating Tay’s brand new EP “I Can See Everything” – plus, with support from the amazing talents of BARDS and Evergreen it’s sure to be a fantastic show of the talent here in Manchester
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Sixth Day “Say Hello“!
having only released their debut single “Kick Me Out” earlier this year, they’ve been garnering praise from across the North West, and sold out their debut headline at Gullivers over the summer, establishing themselves as serious ones-to-watch here in Manchester.
this new single only expands on their debut single’s infectious upbeat indie-rock musings, with singalong choruses, an unmistakably Northern tone and a ferocious energy behind their music. “Say Hello” sets them apart from the sea of new indie tunes, with effortless, conversational songwriting and lyricism, guitar melodies that lace the track beautifully, all parts coming together to create a proper lush tune that’s not only personal, but still upbeat and energetic.
we’re super stoked to be able to announce BARDS and Evergreen as our supports for our headline with Tay Temple next Thursday
two of Manchester’s finest acts, we’re so excited to catch them perform – plus with a hometown show for Tay on her UK tour, it’s gonna be a proper night to remember.
