our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Big Hug, “Cruellemonde De La Hi Fi“! 🙌

this new single is the first from their upcoming EP, and it sounds mega – they released their debut EP “Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time” last year to critical acclaim, and having performed across London and surrounding areas, they’re back with their brand new release! ☀️

the new track sounds mega, with an indulgence of 90’s alternative influence, punk and emo vibes and math rock inspirations. it’s in-your-face, loud and punchy, with a lovely rhythmic element behind it, a jolty and powerful groove – and gorgeous guitar melodies and tones lacing the atmosphere of the track, giving a luscious space for the main vocal to shine through, and with lyricism relative to today – about the struggle of 9-5 jobs, the routine and disillusionment of modern society. well worth a listen! 🎧

you can find the track in full on all streaming platforms, and it’s available to purchase on Bandcamp at https://bighugband.bandcamp.com/ – along with all their previous releases! well worth checking out their discography.
