Just The Crust 23/02/26: Lost Lot – Noah ๐Ÿ‘Š

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Noah” from Lost Lot! ๐ŸŽถ

the indie-rock outfit have been making their mark on the North-East music scene for a good while now, performing at a bunch of venues and they’ve put out a great run of singles and an EP over the past few years ๐Ÿ‘Š

this new single “Noah” sounds fantastic, it opens up with a luscious guitar and piano melody that compliment each other excellently, forming a lovely soundscape for the main vocal to take centre-stage and ensure the listener is hanging onto every word. it’s a picturesque song, with fantastic imagery within the lyrics and has a real sentimental feeling to it – every element of the track contributes to the feel and there’s a proper groove behind it. an incredible listen! ๐ŸŽถ

the track is available on all streaming platforms, including on Spotify over at https://open.spotify.com/album/42cBozLV1i0AZSfgPOHEQr – well worth checking out ๐ŸŽง

Isaac Neilson returns with his brand new single “No Affection“! the alternative-rock singer-songwriter proves his innate ability to write a catchy, singalong hook with this tune, and his lyrical capabilities are on full display here with astute songwriting, painting a real picture – the drive and ferocity of the instrumentation and production behind the track really elevate this single to a new level. well worth a listen!

the new single from Bunny Alex “Ugly Crying” has just released, and it opens up with a dreamy and delicate soundscape, with a perfect coupling of soft guitar and vocal – and it builds so effortlessly throughout the track. her lyrical ability is on full display here, conveying raw and personal emotions into prose, and it’s a gorgeous listen from the Liverpool-based songwriter.

Manchester-based songwriter Kieran Arnold is back with his new single “Molly“! a familiar face for us on the scene, we’ve been huge fans of his music for a good while and this new track is a true example of why. his songwriting style is great, personal and intimate yet feeling conversationalist and down-to-earth. it’s a more intricate and calm track compared to his previous releases, and it’s great to see his repertoire contains such variety – definitely worth checking out!

Sheffield-based alternative-rock outfit Riviera have just dropped their EP “Desiderium“! you can hear such a range of influences right from the get-go, with sludgey guitar tones, driving rhythm and indie-rock-esque vocals. they’ve managed to carve a real unique sound for themselves here, and with that energetic, fierce tone to their music, alongside a real ear for luscious melodies, they’ve definitely set themselves as ones to watch for the future!

we’ve known Tuesdayโ€™s Girl for a good couple of months now having caught her perform live in Manchester a bunch, and she’s released her debut single “When I Was Your Age“! the track captures the live performance superbly, with a luscious piano tone forming the foundation, allowing her vocal to flow freely above, and the instrumentation perfectly compliments the track. her lyrical capabilities are matched excellently with the musical quality within the track, such a great listen!

Manchester-based alternative rock outfit Intake have just dropped their EP “Is This Still Real?“! right from the start, you can hear the ferocity and power that comes with their music, with huge guitar riffs, punchy rhythm and explosive vocals. there’s a real sense of urgency and excitement in their music, matched with a groove that gives a real drive to their music; it’s well worth checking out in full!

another familiar face for us on the Manchester scene, Toenails has just released his new single “The Party (Electric)“! we were massive fans of the acoustic version that was released previously, and this new variant sounds huge! it gives another perspective to the song, with a driving energy behind it, with the full band on it – it really proves his musical quality and also the variety of his talents. a brilliant tune and one to definitely check out!

we’ve covered Funeralcare a bunch in the past and they’ve just released their new single “Flimsy“! the track opens up with a gorgeous, moody soundscape, with a luscious guitar melody that’s complimented by a real groove within the drums and bass line, and the vocals flow with lovely melodies over the track. the track feels dreamy yet fierce, and it opens up excellently throughout, cementing Funeralcare as ones to watch for 2026.

the Liverpool-based trio have returned with this new single, and it sounds absolutely incredible – opening with a gorgeous guitar melody that is perfectly complimented by the violinwork, and giving plenty of room for the main vocal to shine. the track feels dreamy and flows effortlessly, and the rhythm is soft yet brings a real sense of groove to the song – and as always, gorgeous vocal harmonies; and luscious lead riffs from the guitar and violin which really give an upbeat lift to the middle section. yet another incredible track under their belts ๐ŸŒ™
