the Preston-based retro-pop outfit have been making waves on the scene, having released a bunch of great singles over the past few years, and performing a load across the North West π
we’ve been fans of their music for a good while now, with an unmistakable feel-good vibe behind the tunes, and this new single is a classic example of their sound! with a groovy, summer-y guitar riff forming the basis of the track, there’s a real tight rhythm section that grounds the tune superbly, and you can hear a bunch of influences in there, ranging from indie-rock to folk to country. it’s a great listen with a proper singalong feel to it, and expert lyricism that paints a real picture – a fantastic new single from them! βοΈ

the Manchester-based indie-rock songwriter has been making a name for himself across the city, having performed a bunch over the last year or so, and putting out a great run of singles π
this new track sounds mega, a real anthemic singalong chorus to it, a real signature of his sound – with lovely dynamic behind the track, he’s able to really control the flow of his music. his songwriting is honest and precise, conveying his stories in a poetic and straightforward manner, proving his ability as a lyricist, and his vocals on this sound powerful yet delicate, really lending to the strength of the track π€

we’ve covered ROSH’s music a bunch in the past, and we love the Sheffield-based songwriter’s music, with direct and poetic songwriting, lovely instrumentation behind the words and a real talent to be able to craft something that’s both unique and beautiful π€
this new single came out last month and it sounds fantastic – a more up-beat styling than his previous singles, drawing inspiration from a range of sources, yet creating something that he can truly call his own – his lyrics in this are quality, conveying a message of having the strength to face problems and stand your ground. it’s a real show of his creative talent and a great listen! πΆ

a real force on the North West scene, we’re huge fans of these guys, having released a bunch of incredible tunes over the years and performed all across the UK – and we love the run of new singles they’ve been putting out recently π€
this new tune takes no prisoners, it’s an in-your-face tune, with driving guitars, walls of sound, huge rhythm and riffs all the way throughout. Jordao’s vocal sounds fantastic on this, really proving his ability to command the track – and with their classic no-nonsense lyricism, they’ve created not only a proper singalong tune, but one that relates to the feelings and emotions of those who may feel lost in modern society. it’s yet another incredible tune from them! π₯

we’ve covered HerOrangeCoat’s music a bunch in the past, and her delicately and expertly crafted songs are a real testament to her creative talent, and she’s been performing a bunch all across the North βοΈ
this new collaboration with Hevelwood sounds incredible, with gorgeous imagery within the lyrics, they’re able to paint a real picture through their words, and the accompaniment of the banjo and cello only compliments the atmosphere of the track superbly. it’s got a really lovely groove behind the track, almost as if you’re being taken on a journey through the soundscape – an incredible tune and definitely one that you’ll be listening to over and over. π€

the Blackpool-based alternative rock band have been making a name for themselves over the past two years, releasing a bunch of fantastic singles and performing all across the North πΆ
the album sounds great, with some expertly-crafted tunes, you can really hear the musicianship within the band, they’re able to connect with one another superbly – and with quality songwriting, each of the tracks tells it’s own story in it’s own way, whilst still maintaining a real connection throughout the full album. there are strong elements of classic rock influence, but with a more modern twist, really making a sound that’s unique to them – it’s a fantastic listen βοΈ
