our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Sheffield’s Pale Sailor “jorts season.“! π
they formed last year, and this is their second single – after a fantastic debut track in March, which really set the scene for their emo/mid-west tone, with intricate soundscapes and intimate lyricism. we love their attention to detail, with gorgeous riffs and upbeat rhythm forming their music – and their second single here only accentuates that! π€
they’ve gone from strength to strength over the past few months, and “jorts season.” sounds fantastic, with grungey undertones, honest lyricism and driving rhythm really coming together to create an amazing tune. it’s got a lovely groove behind it, and there’s a brilliant dynamic, with a real sense of build throughout the whole track, proving their quality. what a track! π«

our feature for this week’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Sea of Sorrow” from the ever-incredible Luna Marble π
we’ve had them perform for us a bunch now, and they always astound us with their high-energy performances, quality musicianship, amazing band chemistry and insane stage presence – they know exactly how to entertain a crowd π
we loved their previous releases, and this new tune only exceeds our expectations; a more atmospheric intro compared to their previous tracks, but with a gorgeous groove setting the scene, with Maria’s vocals gracefully taking control of the soundscape – and the drop into the guitar riff is absolutely lush.. a fantastic riff that commands your attention immediately. the balance of the vocal and the guitar is so lovely, complimenting each other perfectly throughout – and set to a really tight rhythm section that just completes the sound perfectly. π₯ another incredible tune under their belt!

we’re super stoked to have this out on the label, a gorgeous intimate track, one of his most raw tunes – on the topic of heartbreak and loneliness, something we can all relate to in some manner.

Our feature for today’s Just The Crust feature is the brand new single from Spangled “Crank Up The Splendour“! β‘οΈ
The Manchester-based indie rock outfit have been making waves over the past 5 years with a fantastic run of singles, eps and and this single is from their brand new EP “Always In Colour” π
With a unique mix of upbeat indie rock, the track is full of gritty and intricate lyricism, a singalong hook and gorgeous guitar riffs throughout, touching on a range of influences and really maintaining a feel-good atmosphere to their tune. There’s a real sense of realness to the track, something that is hard to maintain and these guys have smashed it on this tune πΆ

today’s feature for our Just The Crust is the brand new single from LEASH “Restless“! π
the Manchester noise-rock outfit have returned with a brand new single after their debut EP, and they’re back with an explosive track – energetic, grooving and pushing the barriers of genre, it’s an incredible tune πΆ
you can hear inspiration from so many areas, from post-punk to industrial to hip-hop, utilising as many elements at their disposal to really create something truly unique. the contrast between the calmness of the verses to the chaos of the breaks and choruses sets a frantic but luscious soundscape, and the vocals command the listener’s attention throughout – an incredible first release of the year for them! π€

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from William Cawley, “Regine/Or?” βοΈ
we covered his previous release towards the end of last year, and his upbeat indie-rock styling is great, reminiscent of surf rock and 60’s sounds; chock full of jangly guitars, vocal harmonies and singalong vibes. π
this new single is more of a downbeat, moody and atmospheric vibe – especially with the guitar tone, a more post-punk 80’s feel, yet still with the energetic drumbeat that we became accustomed to in his previous work. it’s a more direct track lyrically, a more ambient feel yet still full on and loud π the breakdown at the end is like a lovely contrast to the rest of the track, and it jumps straight back into a final run of the chorus expertly.
you can find the track on all streaming sites, including Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/artist/1KGAiXeLAgZmrIzpxBDqga – well worth a listen! π§
