our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Great Imitator” from Manchester’s post-punk bandits Pomona! 💥
their second offering, after the release of their debut single earlier this year, they’ve taken the Manchester scene by storm, having just performed a headline set at YES Basement last week and really making their mark on the city ⛱️
this new tune sounds fantastic, with so many different influences and elements present, ranging from grungy nastiness, punky guitar riffs and melody lines, indie-rock anthemic singalong lyricism – it’s one to definitely check out! it’s a proper hard-hitting, feel good, powerful tune that proves their passion and talent for creating something that truly means something. ☀️
a HUGE thank you to everyone who made it down to Low Four Studio for the album launch last night with Scatterchild
we had an unreal turnout, and all of our acts smashed it – big love to AlorMr. Fish and Hazel Genevieve for support. as always, Scatterchild were out of this world

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new album from Anne-Marie Sanderson “Old Light”
over the past few years, she’s been performing across the North, at venues ranging from up in Cumbria to down in Sheffield, and this is her first full length release in six years – an album created with inspiration from genres such as folk, pop and jazz
the album is a collection of 10 tracks, all with gentle and intricate composition, smooth vocal melodies and heartfelt lyricism – a delicately put-together album that has the markings of excellence present throughout the entire listen. the flow of the tracklist is superb, it’s a calming listen that ebbs and flows so well from song to song, and it maintains an overall sense of serenity and grace with every line
