the Brighton-based outfit have been on the UK scene for a good while now, having released a bunch of singles and an album since 2022, and they’re back with their sophomore album πΏ
their ability to create a catchy, yet intricate and sophisticated track is second to none – with evocative and raw lyricism, accompanied by quality musicianship, their music is expertly-crafted, really ensuring that the listener is hanging onto every word and melody throughout their tunes. with inspiration ranging from folk, electronic and ambient, their music brings together all of these to ensure a fantastic signature sound, it’s an amazing listen π

the indie-rock inspired singer-songwriter has been making waves for a good while now, having performed a bunch across the North West and releasing a great run of singles over 2025 πΆ
this new single is an unapologetic anthem, a fierce response and has a real sense of self-preservation and identity to it – written in reply to criticism, and it’s a great track – it’s got a real driving ferocity behind it, with a lovely energy to it, matching the lyrical tone expertly. with quality production, bass and drums forming a strong foundation for the track, it’s a great listen and a fantastic single from the songwriter. π₯

the Liverpool-based folk-americana trio have been making waves on the scene lately, with their luscious harmonies, intricate and dynamic songwriting ability – they’re an incredible act and well worth catching live π€
this new single is full proof of their musical talent, full of gorgeous harmonies, lovely guitar riffs throughout the track and they’re able to tell a real story within their lyrics – all whilst being a catchy, feel-good track! it’s got a lovely flow to it, with the drums and bass providing a steady foundation for the vocals to take charge and ensure the listener is hanging onto every word. definitely one to check out! βοΈ

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new EP from St Cloud “What Matters“! π
we’ve had them perform for us a bunch in the past, and we were super lucky to host their EP launch event in October – it was an incredible evening of fantastic musicianship, and such well-crafted tracks. a pleasure to have seen these tracks played live π
the EP sounds fantastic, it’s full of gorgeous melodies, harmonies and comes together in an incredible manner. there’s so much emotion relayed through each of the tracks, with suspense and tension, going to upbeat and flowing melodies that really show the chemistry of the band, with the cello, violin and drums all working in perfect unison to convey emotion and feeling in such an expert way. there’s a lovely flow to the EP, with each of the tracks complimenting one another superbly, that makes it one to definitely listen to from start to finish. π€

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Isaac Neilson “Spiked (Mind Eraser)” π
we’ve covered Isaac’s tunes a bunch in the past, having had him perform for us a load and he’s gone from strength to strength with every release, making a real name for himself across the UK! πΆ
this new single is mega, it opens up with a dark, grooving atmosphere that lends to the nature of the lyrics excellently, and his vocal takes centre stage, commanding the listener’s attention – the drop into the chorus is driving and infectious, a real wall of sound behind it enforcing the ferocity of the track. there’s an incredible use of dynamic in the tune, reinforcing the lyricism and his wordcraft is excellent in this, really relaying the feelings he experienced in the moment. a great listen and another fantastic tune under his belt! π€

the Sheffield-based emo trio have been performing a bunch over the past few months, making a real name for themselves on the scene, and putting out a run of fantastic singles in the meantime! π
this EP sounds fantastic, right from the get-go it’s full of lovely guitar riffs, gorgeous melodies that compliment the vocal expertly, and hard-hitting, driving rhythm that gives the EP a real energy behind it. the lyricism is great, their ability to paint a picture effortlessly with their songwriting is second to none. there’s so much dynamic in the tracks, building expertly and utilising breakdowns and structure to really create a run of tracks that you’ll listen to over and over πΆ

this EP sounds fantastic, it’s got an incredible atmosphere flowing throughout each of the tracks, and with catchy, singalong hooks, expert songwriting and gorgeous guitar melodies and patterns ever-present in their music, they’ve crafted a lovely EP that sets themselves apart as a must-listen for any fans of alternative / mid-western inspired music. their music feels personal, and intimate, yet at the same time, have a real dynamic throughout, ranging from folky intricacy to driving grungey riffs – a brilliant listen! πΆ
