the Bristol-based songwriter has had a fantastic run of music behind him, from his debut single back in 2023, to the release of his debut album here in 2026. his intimate and emotional songwriting style sets him apart from the rest, and has cemented him as one to watch for the year π
this new album is full evidence of his songwriting talent, ranging from intimate and personal tracks, to more full-band produced songs, yet still maintaining that conversational and raw style that he does so well. there’s a lovely flow to the album, with each track blending effortlessly with the next, and you can really hear the pure passion and emotion poured into each of the tunes. such lovely production throughout as well – it’s definitely worth a listen! βοΈ

we’ve known Nat for ages now, and we’re massive fans of his down-to-earth songwriting style, and his innate talent to write a relatable and introspective song that has a real groove behind it, utilising his musical ability to create interesting and melodic progressions π
this new single is full evidence of his ability, opening up with a gorgeous dreamy guitar melody that matches his flowing vocal expertly, there’s a real luscious soundscape to this track, and his vocal ability takes centre stage as he commands the attention of the listener with his raw power. his lyrics are almost like a conversation, connecting effortlessly with the listener – and the drop into the chorus is beautiful. yet another incredible tune under his belt π€

we’ve covered these guys’ previous singles and we love their indie-rock/dream-pop esque style, with luscious melodies throughout their music and infectious hooks, and they’ve been gigging across Manchester a bunch, with a headline show next at YES in June! π
this new single sounds fantastic, with a lovely atmospheric sound right from the get-go, with driving rhythm forming the foundation of the track, allowing for the guitar riff to soar expertly above it, and the main vocal takes command, ensuring the listener is hanging on every word, and it’s a real personal yet adeptly written track, with raw emotion in every lyric but also maintaining a singalong chorus. we especially love the middle eight build into the final chorus, a real slow build that works exceptionally – it’s a fantastic listen! π

the indie-rock outfit have been making their mark on the North-East music scene for a good while now, performing at a bunch of venues and they’ve put out a great run of singles and an EP over the past few years π
this new single “Noah” sounds fantastic, it opens up with a luscious guitar and piano melody that compliment each other excellently, forming a lovely soundscape for the main vocal to take centre-stage and ensure the listener is hanging onto every word. it’s a picturesque song, with fantastic imagery within the lyrics and has a real sentimental feeling to it – every element of the track contributes to the feel and there’s a proper groove behind it. an incredible listen! πΆ

we’ve covered Motel Sundown’s tracks a bunch in the past and we’re always blown away by their talent, their ability to create a gorgeous atmosphere in their music and how they’re able to write intricate and interesting melodies and lyrics πΆ
the Liverpool-based trio have returned with this new single, and it sounds absolutely incredible – opening with a gorgeous guitar melody that is perfectly complimented by the violinwork, and giving plenty of room for the main vocal to shine. the track feels dreamy and flows effortlessly, and the rhythm is soft yet brings a real sense of groove to the song – and as always, gorgeous vocal harmonies; and luscious lead riffs from the guitar and violin which really give an upbeat lift to the middle section. yet another incredible track under their belts π

the Manchester-born, Paris-based songwriter has released this EP on Todmorden’s Golden Lion Sounds – and it’s his debut EP, following the release of singles from it throughout last year π
the electro-folk sound of it is infectious, with luscious synths, driving rhythm and groove behind each of the tracks, lending a lovely atmosphere to his folky, americana style songwriting. his lyricism is direct, personal, and relatable – his ability to write a hook is second to none and sure to have any listener singing along. π

we’ve known these guys for a good while, having had them perform for us a bunch and writing up reviews of their past releases – we love their laid-back and lo-fi sound, such a great atmosphere to their tunes π
this new EP continues with that sound, opening with a driving, lo-fi track that feels like it should be in a racing soundtrack. their use of dynamic and instrumentation within their music ensures that every line is exciting, and unfolds throughout the flow of each and every tune. they’ve got singalong hooks, a beautiful use of synths, guitar melodies and driving rhythm forming the foundation of their tracks – it’s a great listen start to finish π₯
