The Wrap: March 2025 🌮

we’re back with our next edition of The Wrap feature! 🤝

we’ve got in-depth reviews of some of our favourite releases of March, and it’s been an incredible start to the year – you can find all of our reviews below ⬇️

London’s Too Many Temples have just dropped their new single “Mother Said“! combining grungey atmospheres with classic rock and roll, alternative and blues, they’ve crafted a track that has a real groove to it, building expertly from start to finish – opening with an unsettling soundscape behind the tune, flowing freely with the main vocal taking charge – only to open up into a huge wall of distortion and sound that ensures there’s a proper driving energy continuously behind the tune. a fantastic listen!

Sheffield-based folk artist ROSH just put out his new single “all alive“! it opens beautifully, with a luscious backdrop, the acoustic guitar perfected matched with the violin, and ensures a gorgeous space for his vocal to soar freely within the track. his lyricism is lovely, direct and poetic, commanding the listener’s attention effortlessly, and the rhythm section compliment the delicate nature of the track with ease. it’s an incredible listen and we can’t wait to hear even more from him!

we’re huge fans of Hannah Robinson, having covered a bunch of her music in the past, and she’s just dropped this new track “Who I Am“! echoing influences of shoegaze, dream-pop and alternative rock, Hannah has perfecting combined the genres to create something gritty and dark yet beautiful. with vocal harmonies layering around the soundscape, driving guitar patterns, and a tight rhythm section, it holds together incredibly. the explosion into the choruses is insane, there’s so much energy in the track, a real lovely flow throughout the tune, and Hannah’s vocal command the space expertly – ensuring that you’ll keep it on repeat!

a familiar face on the Manchester scene, indie-folk troubadour The Late Freddie Price has just put out his album “Bohemian Dream“! his songwriting ability is fantastic, his ability to portray his emotion and situation in a poetic manner is second to none. there’s some gorgeous guitar picking melodies throughout the tracks, and the production ensures that each songs holds it’s own. you can hear a bunch of influences within each of the tracks, from 60’s rock and roll, to more psychedelic rock, to modern indie music – and he’s combined them all expertly to create his own unique sound.

a real familiar face for us, Walter Kocays has just put out his newest track “Watch The Road“! opening up with a real delicate atmosphere, the acoustic guitar and violin perfectly compliment each other, and when his vocal comes in, his power and ability is immediately evident. Kocays’ lyricism is raw, personal and honest, and it shines bright – a real talent in the scene. as the track flows, it opens up effortlessly, bringing in other instruments that beautifully compliment the raw and delicate nature of the song. we can’t wait to hear even more!

Manchester midwest/emo/punk outfit Hospital Radio. have just dropped their debut single “Dreaming“! right from the get-go, there’s an immediate drive and energy behind the track, with a luscious guitar pattern forming the basis of the track, and drums and bass that really ensure that the ferocity of the track is in place. Mike’s vocal sounds fantastic here, and really takes command of the track, and the personal and raw lyricism set it as a real standout track. definitely worth a listen and we can’t wait to hear more!

one of our favourite North West acts, Toria Wooff has just put out her self-titled debut album “Toria Wooff“! we’ve known Toria for an age now, and we’re always so blown away by her effortless songwriting ability, her innate talent to craft a track that stands the test of the time. this album is absolutely 100% proof of her talent. balancing influences from genres such as 60’s folk, classic rock, heavier alternative rock, country-folk – she’s combined all of this to truly create something that is an incredible listen and a worthy piece of anyone’s collection. from the delicate and dreamy introduction of “The Plough“, to the country-folk classic feel of “Lefty’s Motel Room“, to the intricate ballad of “That’s What Falling In Love” will do – this will be on our radar for years to come.

another of our favourites on the scene, indie-folk songwriter Bryony Lloyd has just put out her brand new EP “Aerial“! she has an innate ability to create a track that’s not only musically expert, or portrays emotion and feeling in her lyrics effortlessly, but also captivates an audience or listener – really setting her as one to watch for the year. there’s so many gorgeous melodies throughout these songs, and her vocal capability is on full display here, it’s an incredible listen and well worth checking out.

it’s been yet another fantastic month, with so many amazing tunes being released; plus, so many that we didn’t cover – thanks to everyone who has checked this out, and we hope you enjoyed it! 🤘

Just The Crust 21/04/25: Harrison Rimmer – Cheaper Than Therapy 👊

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new sophomore album “Cheaper Than Therapy” from Harrison Rimmer! 💥

we’re massive fans of Harrison’s music, we’ve known him for a long long while now, covered a bunch of his music and had him perform for us loads! we were there at his debut album launch a few years ago, and we’ve been proper looking forward to this new one 🤝

you can really see his progress within the tracks on this album, his already-expert lyricism being refined and portraying more emotion, more stories from his life, and delivered in an excellent manner, both in the songwriting sense and through his musical ability – matched with quality guitar patterns and riffs that really compliment his vocals and lyrics. the full band also breathe even more life into these tracks, you can really feel the chemistry between all of them who are involved; each track feels full of energy and with a true sense of purpose and belonging upon the album. 💿 some of our favourites are “Shores“, “Be Reet” and the re-release of an old favourite “Ripped Up Magazine” – Harrison’s ability to capture a listener’s attention and put his raw emotion and feeling out there is second to none. 🙌

the album is available to stream on all platforms, and you can buy a physical CD from his Bandcamp at https://harrisonrimmer1.bandcamp.com/album/cheaper-than-therapy 🎧
