this one’s gonna be a belter, JCK is one of the most talented songwriters we’ve met and with such a top energy on stage we can’t wait for his set. we’ve got some amazing supports too, with janelaceymusic Cal Walsh and Johnny Braddock, a proper boss one!

it’s been an entire YEAR since we got through to being finalists for Red Spot Events “Best North West Record Label”!

it was an honour to be nominated for this, alongside the amazing Jacaranda Records and Sour Grapes Records – brilliant to see. since then we’ve done SO much! from hosting our weekly open mic nights showcasing up and coming talent, putting on monthly gigs at The Thirsty Scholar and the Grafton Arms with some insane artists from the North performing, and releasing plenty of records from our artists.. it’s gone from strength to strength!

we’ve got our next Cream of the Crop lineup for you! this looks to be a superb one as always, love the afternoons at The Thirsty Scholar

a fantastic lineup this month, with some of the best singer-songwriters we know including Laila Romero Migson Pollock Nina Ettridge and Mike Collinson Music! seen these guys plenty of times now and they always perform fantastic sets. proper looking forward to it!

we had a super lovely one last Saturday for our “Toasted” gig at the Grafton Arms!

big love to Whatever The Weather, NEW DIVIDE and Monday Night Special for performing for us, all smashed their sets and was just simply boss to see so much talent gracing the stage. well worth checking out all these bands, top stuff!

we love how these nights are going, we’ve had so many fantastic ones over at The Grafton and we’ll be back with our next one super soon keep your eyes peeled! big shout to Max for these fantastic photos too

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new album from Black Brunswicker “High Peaks”!

ever since we met Ethan, we’ve been in awe of his talent crafting soundscapes with his acoustic guitar through the use of pedals, and his gorgeous melodies and atmospheres really set him as a one of a kind here in Manchester.

his album here “High Peaks” is a beautiful collection of his music, it’s a really lovely experience listening through to it all, with a really peaceful and serene ambience to it – beautiful guitar melodies that seem to just float throughout the bars, and you can really see the time and effort he’s put into each of the tracks, a very well-crafted collection of tunes here.

he’s released this album through Australian label Ramble Records and they’ve even got a vinyl pressing lined up for it which sounds amazing to us! it’s well worth a listen and you can find it on all streaming platforms, including Bandcamp at https://black-brunswicker-ramble-records.bandcamp.com/album/high-peaks where you can pre-order it on vinyl and support his music directly.

ooosh what a night yesterday over at The Bread Shed Manchester for our first “Loafin’ Around” with Farrow & Friends Promotions!

massive love to all the acts who played, yous all absolutely smashed your sets and really made it a special one. big up Midnight People Oli Boyton Tommy Cei Margo and Walter Kocays! some of the best up-and-coming talent here in Manchester, well worth checking out.

we were astounded by the turnout and a huge thank you to everyone who came down, Ethan on the sound, Max taking photos, The Bread Shed for hosting us and ofc our partner in crime Laura Farrow for all the hard work she put in keep your eyes peeled for even more in the future!
