our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from The Battery Farm “Wooden Spoon Number“! ![]()
another in a fantastic line of tunes from them – they’ve had so many unreal releases, we loved their album last year “Dirty Den’s March of Suffering“, full of huge riffs and anthemic tunes. ![]()
this new tune continues in their recognisable signature sound, opening with a huge rhythm section and a unique and familiar vocal from Benjamin – with his songwriting style shining through with the lyrics, a real great writer here and with a proper down to earth style from him.
the synth line really brings the track together as well, really gels it all together superbly. the breakdown is massive as well, we can imagine that this would sound absolutely gigantic live!
you can find it on all streaming platforms – or catch the full music video over on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB9yaa38RxA
well worth a listen! another incredible release for them, we can’t wait to hear more.

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new EP from The Battery Farm![]()
self-proclaimed “gutter punks” of Manchester, The Battery Farm have been tearing up stages for a few years now, with their energetic sets, driving tunes and formidable stage presence – they’re absolutely amazing live, every time we’ve caught them we’ve been blown away ![]()
the new EP features some of their previous singles this year, such as “Roy Keane Isn’t Real” and “When The Whip Goes Crack” – they toe the line between serious and having a laugh so well
with huge, anthemic choruses and melodic and grungy build ups, these are definitely ones to watch on the Manchester scene. ![]()
one of our favourites off the new EP is “I’ve Never Been To Gorton” – a proper tongue-in-cheek tune about the different areas of Manchester, with lovely guitar melodies throughout and huge choruses
lead singer Ben’s vocal sounds great on this too, showing his prowess as a vocalist – well worth a listen ![]()
head on over to Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/album/6jIL2W5c4AUeF83jVpZB4H to find the EP in full – it’s a proper lovely listen with some beautiful interlude tracks to really make it stand out as a full release!
you can also find their music videos on their YouTube as well, “Roy Keane Isn’t Real” is a reyt good watch
looking forward to seeing where these guys go next!
