The fantastic Jack Weston has just released his second single “Dawn Chorus“! The Sheffield singer-songwriter amazed us with his first release, and this new single only goes further – an honest, down-to-earth song that feels like a conversation between him and the listener. The simple nature of vocal and guitar lend to the strength of the track, the expert lyricism that is present in every line, and slight additions of vocals and instrumentation that only accentuate the quality of the song. It’s well worth a listen for any folk fans!
Manchester’s Woioi have just dropped their debut EP “gumreader“! Taking influence from psychedelic, alternative, indie and rock genres, their tracks boast fantastic grooves, lovely guitar riffs and melodies, and a rhythm section that sets the foundation for each tune beautifully. Expect luscious chord progressions, feel-good atmospheres and upbeat vibes – it’s a lovely listen and sure to get anyone dancing about!
Yorkshire-based Fever Dreams have just put out their debut single, “So Naive“! Formed less than a year ago, they’ve made an immediate impact on the music scene, playing gigs, their new single garnering radio play and playlisting from a variety of publications, and this track is evident of their success – it’s a gorgeous indie anthem, with synth-pop tendencies, dream-pop flavours, and a smattering of various influences in there to really create something they can call their own. We can’t wait to hear even more from these guys!
We’ve been fans of The Sewer Cats for a good while now, having known them for a fair few years, and we love their no-nonsense punk tunes – this new single “Boo Hoo!” is yet another in a long line of great tracks from the two-piece. With huge rhythm driving the track, expertly accompanied by face-melting guitar riffs and progressions, it gives a punchy and massive backdrop for Cass to command the listeners’ attention with her vocal, her lyricism as ever on point, direct and empowering.
We absolutely love Black Brunswicker’s tunes, having listened and covered so many of their releases in the past, their gorgeous soundscapes and ambient tones carving luscious atmospheres that you can really lose yourself in. This new single “The Cave” is another fantastic dreamy tune, Ethan’s ability to utilise so many elements and create a gorgeous journey is second to none. The flow of the track is perfect here, so well balanced to itself, feeling like the trickle of a stream down a mountainside – everything perfectly in sync with itself. We love it!
We’ve been huge fans of Hannah Robinson for a good while now, and we love her shoegazy dream-pop tunes – her new single “Blissfully Miles Away” is yet another incredible track under her belt. This single is a real gem, it’s atmospheric, got a lovely guitar melody behind it, a huge chorus that opens up the sound of the track, and a proper singalong. The soundscape is the track, with a driving rhythm section that provides plenty of space for her to sing over, her vocal ability on full show here, and a gorgeous guitar solo to match. We love to see it!
Manchester-based outfit Alor have just dropped their second single, “Older“! We were massive fans of their debut and this track only goes further in proving them as ones to watch on the North West scene. You can hear a bunch of influences in this track, and they’ve carefully crafted a sound that really shows their talent – the delicate vibe of this tune is gorgeous, showing their musicianship of each member and really amplifying the quality and ability of lead singer Ollie’s vocal talent. The track is so well put together, with so many different elements surfacing throughout to really create an incredible piece of work. Well worth a listen!
Another familiar face for us, Sugarstone have just dropped their brand new tune “Body Pending“! We’re absolutely massive fans of these guys, and this tune goes even further than they have before, with so many luscious synth elements mixed with their familiar distorted and heavy vibes – it’s an incredibly dynamic track, so well constructed and a proper singalong and anthemic tune. Their brand of cyberpunk electro-pop is infectious, and we are stoked to hear even more from them!

we’ve covered Lynskey a bunch in the past, they released their last EP early last year and we loved it, a fantastic amalgamation of different influences, various genres thrown in their to truly create a sound that is unique to them – high energy, intricate melodies throughout; fantastic to listen to
this new tune is an ode to Keanu Reeves, opening right up from the get-go with a bang – a grooving drumbeat sets the pace while explosive guitar power chords form the basis of the track, with plenty of space for B’s vocal to take centre-stage, their vocal commanding the listener’s attention. there’s a whole bunch of lovely little riffs throughout, little breakdowns and synth lines that only accentuate the craft within the tune – it’s sure to get anyone dancing along!
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Leeds-based Lunar Sounds “Better Than This“! 👊
after performing at various venues across the UK over the past few years, and releasing a run of singles and EPs since 2016, they’re back with a brand new track that packs a punch right from the get-go! 💫
you can really hear the grunge, the riot-grrrl influence throughout this track – with luscious power chords, basslines and hard-hitting drums laying the foundation for the track, a main guitar riff that echoes throughout, adding tension and drive to the tune, and group vocals, harmonies that give a real energy to it all. it sounds fantastic, and with personal, impactful lyricism, it’s set them up as ones to watch for the year 🌜
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Harrison Rimmer “Tough Love“! 🤝
we’ve known Harrison for a long long time now and we love all of his tunes, his album “Larkholme” last year was sensational and it’s so great to hear a new tune from him! also – he’s one of our favourite live musicians, if you get the chance to see him don’t miss out 👊
this new single sounds fantastic, taking a more alternative-rock style compared to his previous tunes, with a grungey guitar lacing the atmosphere of the track – and a hard hitting drumbeat and bassline laying the foundation beautifully, for Harrison to take centre-stage with a personal and passionate story. it’s a lovely track, with a real emotion and feeling poured into it, exactly what we’ve come to expect with Harrison’s music 🌙
