our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Secrets” from Lily Haylett! 🌙

the Manchester-based grunge-influenced songwriter released her debut single “Miss Safrano” last year, and has been performing across the North West a bunch throughout the remainder of 2025, and is back with a brand new single 🎶

this new single has a real echo of 90’s alternative to it, with a lofi-esque drumbeat backing the soft, delicate guitar progression, creating a luscious atmosphere for her vocal to soar above the instrumentation, conveying her story with effortless and powerful delivery; with a lovely chorus, raw and personal lyricism, it’s a real intimate track that sounds fantastic 🎵

Lex has been on the scene for a good while now, having made a name for himself as a skilled writer, with a real quality for writing personal yet relatable lyrics, conveying stories through his songwriting expertly; and with luscious melodies and adept delivery vocally he’s able make a real connection with the listener 🎵

this new single “Stomachaches” follows his previous single in 2025, and it’s real proof of his lyrical abilities – it feels like a conversation, with effortless yet quality vocal delivery, lovely melodies within the hook and a real sense of down-to-earth writing. the track sounds dreamy with a gorgeous backdrop that really compliments his lyrics. 💫

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “L.A.” from Hospital Radio.! 🎶

the Manchester-based midwest-emo outfit have been on the scene for a good while now, and they released their debut single earlier last year – a great first tune for them! 👊

this new single “L.A.” follows on from the success of their debut, and with signature melodic guitar riffs, powerful and driving rhythm, accompanied by expert lyricism and fierce vocal delivery, it’s a real banger – their use of dynamic within their music compliments the songwriting style superbly, giving a real sense of flow to the track. it’s a great listen and a must for any fans of alternative indie/emo 🌙
