we love Ethan’s music, always a pleasure to listen to it and we’ve had them perform for us a bunch – with spellbinding performances and such intrinsically crafted sets, they’re well worth catching live! 👊
this new EP is a fantastic show of their talent, with magical scenes and soundscapes throughout the full release, it’s a joy to listen to; so serene and peaceful, with gorgeous melodies leading the way on each of the tracks, and luscious atmospheres behind them – each element perfectly placed to balance to one another, proving Black Brunswicker’s ear for not only an effective melody, but also the knowledge of how to utilise what is next, and create a gorgeous backdrop for their music. an incredible release – one of our favourites is “Olde Magicks” – giving us rainy forest walking vibes! 🌙

after a trio of fantastic singles from the album, they’ve released the full release and it sounds mega – mixing indie-folk with raucous americana and punk rock elements, truly making their sound their own! 
you can tell right from the get-go that they’ve got a real ear for melody and creating luscious riffs in their music; and Chloe’s songwriting talent is on full display here, almost feeling like a conversation with them throughout each track. their music is raw, honest and personal – and fantastic to listen to!

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from Old Sun, New Moon – “Lay Your Burden Down“! ☀️
we’ve had them perform for us a bunch over the past few years, consisting of two of our favourite artists collaborating to create something really special – every time we’ve caught them live, they’ve been spellbinding! 💫
after their first few releases, they’ve come back to the first song that they performed live together – it’s a luscious track, and you can really hear the chemistry between Ethan and Tom; matching each other perfectly throughout the track, with a soft guitar melody and Tom’s rough vocal flowing superbly, and Ethan’s ambient tones lacing the track expertly – ebbing and flowing throughout, touching on elements of distortion and feedback, but being controlled so well throughout. Tom’s vocal sounds amazing here, and his songwriting capability is on full display with such intimate, raw and image-inducing lyricism 🤘

a jam packed April for us with a whole load of gigs!
last night we were at Low Four Studio for our headline with Anyone’s Ghost + support from Arms & Hearts and Elizabeth Owens – what a show! a huge thank you to everyone who came down 
then tomorrow we’re at The Thirsty Scholar for Cream of the Crop, a slight lineup change due to train strikes so we’ll have Harry Macqueen michael webster FRANK and Adam K from 1pm! come on down! 
next week we’re down at the Grafton Arms on the Thursday 11th for a headline show from Paul Shepherd and support from Beth Hardaker, Sore Winner and michael webster – only £5 in at https://fatso.ma/ZwSg
and again at the Grafton Arms for The Slice on Saturday 13th, raising money for The Christie Charity with feature slots from Sea Breeze UK The Divine and Object Ash – plus open mic slots 6-9pm!
