a familiar face on the North West scene, they’ve been making waves for a good few years now, having put out a bunch of incredible tunes, and performing all across the region and selling out shows on the regular in their Preston hometown 🎶
this new track sounds fantastic, blending their earlier indie-rock roots with more metal-infused, heavier elements that really paves the way for their anthemic, driving brand of alternative rock – with expert lyricism, they’re able to paint a picture with their lyrics, matched with instrumentation that compliments the wordcraft fantastically, the track ebbs and flows and truly feels like a journey with the band. it’s a brilliant listen! 👊

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Got To Lose” by Burnley-based indie outfit The Stride! 👊
following the release of their single “Hold On” last year, the band have gone from strength to strength, performing across the North West and beyond, taking their indie rock tunes with them and astounding audiences – reminiscent of 90’s Manchester vibes 💥
this new single opens up with a nostalgic guitar progression, backed with a real tight rhythm section that holds it together, giving plenty of room for the lead guitar melody to flow over the top – and the main vocal takes command immediately, it’s a real indie anthemic vibe to it with a singalong chorus and with a proper stadium rock feel 🙌
