our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new EP “How Can You Hold Me?” from Tallulah Guard! 👊
we’ve known Tallulah for a good long time now, having not only reviewed their tunes before, but caught them live and also put them on a bunch of gigs – their ability to write with such ferocity and emotion really sets them apart from the rest! 🙌
this new EP is fully evident of their musical capabilities, with four tracks that not only convey their feelings and experiences, but written in expert prose! full of singalong choruses, raw and personal lyricism, driving and fierce rhythm backing them along with quality production – it’s a fantastic EP and a must-listen for any fans of alternative / indie tunes 🎶 this video is from Saturday at their EP launch and truly shows how great their music is. 🤝
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Little Louis” from Tom Collins! 👊
the North Wales based artist has been making waves over the past few years, with a run of incredible singles out and having performed across the country – plus, supporting The Sherlocks on their current tour! 💥
this is his first release of 2025, and he’s come out swinging with a hard-hitting, in-your-face tune that’s reminiscent of noughties indie, but with a modern feel – his songwriting talent really ensures that you’re hanging onto every word, and the story he conveys is down-to-earth and relatable. the song has a powerful energy, with a fierce singalong chorus, a lovely driving rhythm behind it and feeling fresh throughout the whole tune. a great listen and definitely one to watch for the future! 🤝
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Remembering” from Naomi Campbell! 🙌
we loved her previous single “Don’t You Mind“, having reviewed it when it came out in November of last year, and she’s had an incredible run of gigs since then – we were stoked for this new single! ☀️
“Remembering” takes influence from a variety of genres, including soul, r&b, 60’s and even 70’s rock – it’s a gorgeous tune, and she’s blended all of these genres expertly to create something she can truly call her own style. there’s so much atmosphere present within the track, with a range of instruments all working in perfect unison to form the basis, and Naomi’s vocal takes centre-stage with it’s power, commanding the listener’s attention, yet with raw and personal lyricism that truly conveys her emotions in a poetic manner. it’s a fantastic listen and a great first track of 2025 for her – we can’t wait for even more! 🎶

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from The Velvetines, “Where do you go?” 💥
the Bolton-based indie/rock outfit have taken this year by storm, having performed across the North West at various venues, and releasing two singles that have done superbly, they’ve really cemented their position as ones to watch on the upcoming scene. 👊
this new single sounds fantastic, it’s a lovely contrast to their previous track, taking a more acoustic and moody approach to the tune – opening with a dark and atmospheric sound, feeling up close and personal with the band, really bringing you into the mellow feel of the song. it opens up with more production, bringing in a melodic piano to back the acoustic guitar, and flowing effortlessly to the final chorus of the song. 🎧
