the Bolton-based indie/rock outfit have taken this year by storm, having performed across the North West at various venues, and releasing two singles that have done superbly, they’ve really cemented their position as ones to watch on the upcoming scene. ๐Ÿ‘Š

this new single sounds fantastic, it’s a lovely contrast to their previous track, taking a more acoustic and moody approach to the tune – opening with a dark and atmospheric sound, feeling up close and personal with the band, really bringing you into the mellow feel of the song. it opens up with more production, bringing in a melodic piano to back the acoustic guitar, and flowing effortlessly to the final chorus of the song. ๐ŸŽง

Just The Crust 28/04/25: Vienna – Sleep Fighter II ๐Ÿ’ฅ

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new EP “Sleep Fighter II” by Vienna! ๐Ÿ™Œ

the Birmingham-based emo outfit have been taking the scene by storm recently, having a strong discography under their belt already and performing across England at various prestigious venues! ๐Ÿ‘Š we reviewed their previous single last year and couldn’t wait to hear this!

this new EP sounds fantastic, chock-full of luscious guitar riffs, energetic and powerful rhythm and fierce and commanding vocals from the lead singer, really showing their desire to make music for themselves. there’s a real 2000’s throwback mixed into the tunes, along with other inspirations that ensure Vienna are ones to watch on the upcoming scene! the tracks are energetic and exciting, yet at the same time intimate and well-crafted – it’s a fantastic listen and one to check out for any fans of emo / punk music! ๐ŸŽถ

we’re back with our next edition of The Wrap feature! ๐Ÿค

we’ve got in-depth reviews of some of our favourite releases of March, and it’s been an incredible start to the year – you can find all of our reviews below โฌ‡๏ธ


London’s Too Many Temples have just dropped their new single “Mother Said“! combining grungey atmospheres with classic rock and roll, alternative and blues, they’ve crafted a track that has a real groove to it, building expertly from start to finish – opening with an unsettling soundscape behind the tune, flowing freely with the main vocal taking charge – only to open up into a huge wall of distortion and sound that ensures there’s a proper driving energy continuously behind the tune. a fantastic listen!


Sheffield-based folk artist ROSH just put out his new single “all alive“! it opens beautifully, with a luscious backdrop, the acoustic guitar perfected matched with the violin, and ensures a gorgeous space for his vocal to soar freely within the track. his lyricism is lovely, direct and poetic, commanding the listener’s attention effortlessly, and the rhythm section compliment the delicate nature of the track with ease. it’s an incredible listen and we can’t wait to hear even more from him!


we’re huge fans of Hannah Robinson, having covered a bunch of her music in the past, and she’s just dropped this new track “Who I Am“! echoing influences of shoegaze, dream-pop and alternative rock, Hannah has perfecting combined the genres to create something gritty and dark yet beautiful. with vocal harmonies layering around the soundscape, driving guitar patterns, and a tight rhythm section, it holds together incredibly. the explosion into the choruses is insane, there’s so much energy in the track, a real lovely flow throughout the tune, and Hannah’s vocal command the space expertly – ensuring that you’ll keep it on repeat!


a familiar face on the Manchester scene, indie-folk troubadour The Late Freddie Price has just put out his album “Bohemian Dream“! his songwriting ability is fantastic, his ability to portray his emotion and situation in a poetic manner is second to none. there’s some gorgeous guitar picking melodies throughout the tracks, and the production ensures that each songs holds it’s own. you can hear a bunch of influences within each of the tracks, from 60’s rock and roll, to more psychedelic rock, to modern indie music – and he’s combined them all expertly to create his own unique sound.


a real familiar face for us, Walter Kocays has just put out his newest track “Watch The Road“! opening up with a real delicate atmosphere, the acoustic guitar and violin perfectly compliment each other, and when his vocal comes in, his power and ability is immediately evident. Kocays’ lyricism is raw, personal and honest, and it shines bright – a real talent in the scene. as the track flows, it opens up effortlessly, bringing in other instruments that beautifully compliment the raw and delicate nature of the song. we can’t wait to hear even more!


Manchester midwest/emo/punk outfit Hospital Radio. have just dropped their debut single “Dreaming“! right from the get-go, there’s an immediate drive and energy behind the track, with a luscious guitar pattern forming the basis of the track, and drums and bass that really ensure that the ferocity of the track is in place. Mike’s vocal sounds fantastic here, and really takes command of the track, and the personal and raw lyricism set it as a real standout track. definitely worth a listen and we can’t wait to hear more!


one of our favourite North West acts, Toria Wooff has just put out her self-titled debut album “Toria Wooff“! we’ve known Toria for an age now, and we’re always so blown away by her effortless songwriting ability, her innate talent to craft a track that stands the test of the time. this album is absolutely 100% proof of her talent. balancing influences from genres such as 60’s folk, classic rock, heavier alternative rock, country-folk – she’s combined all of this to truly create something that is an incredible listen and a worthy piece of anyone’s collection. from the delicate and dreamy introduction of “The Plough“, to the country-folk classic feel of “Lefty’s Motel Room“, to the intricate ballad of “That’s What Falling In Love” will do – this will be on our radar for years to come.


another of our favourites on the scene, indie-folk songwriter Bryony Lloyd has just put out her brand new EP “Aerial“! she has an innate ability to create a track that’s not only musically expert, or portrays emotion and feeling in her lyrics effortlessly, but also captivates an audience or listener – really setting her as one to watch for the year. there’s so many gorgeous melodies throughout these songs, and her vocal capability is on full display here, it’s an incredible listen and well worth checking out.

Just The Crust 21/04/25: Harrison Rimmer – Cheaper Than Therapy ๐Ÿ‘Š

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new sophomore album “Cheaper Than Therapy” from Harrison Rimmer! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

we’re massive fans of Harrison’s music, we’ve known him for a long long while now, covered a bunch of his music and had him perform for us loads! we were there at his debut album launch a few years ago, and we’ve been proper looking forward to this new one ๐Ÿค

you can really see his progress within the tracks on this album, his already-expert lyricism being refined and portraying more emotion, more stories from his life, and delivered in an excellent manner, both in the songwriting sense and through his musical ability – matched with quality guitar patterns and riffs that really compliment his vocals and lyrics. the full band also breathe even more life into these tracks, you can really feel the chemistry between all of them who are involved; each track feels full of energy and with a true sense of purpose and belonging upon the album. ๐Ÿ’ฟ some of our favourites are “Shores“, “Be Reet” and the re-release of an old favourite “Ripped Up Magazine” – Harrison’s ability to capture a listener’s attention and put his raw emotion and feeling out there is second to none. ๐Ÿ™Œ

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “The Spark” by Sandy Kilpatrick! ๐ŸŽถ

we covered his last single earlier in the year, and his intimate and delicate songwriting capability really sets him as a standout storyteller – and he’s been doing super well over the past few years, writing songs and performing them across venues all over! ๐Ÿ‘Š

this new single “The Spark” sounds incredible, a real testament to his musical ability – opening up with a luscious soundscape, with a gorgeous atmosphere, the instrumentation working in perfect unison to give so much space for Kilpatrick’s silky vocal to take command – and his down-to-earth and relatable lyrics capturing the attention, a tale of romance and attraction. the track flows so well, almost dream-like, and it’s a proper show of the quality production and musicality put into this tune. well worth a listen! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Just The Crust 07/04/25: SUE – Get Over It ๐Ÿ‘Š

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Get Over It” from grunge outfit SUE! ๐Ÿค

the Midlands-based three-piece have a strong bunch of albums and singles under their belt already, with anthemic, punchy and raw tunes, and they’ve put out a proper belter with this new tune – ensuring themselves as ones to keep an eye out for! ๐ŸŽถ

this new track “Get Over It” opens up with a real in-your-face guitar riff, pounding drums and droney vocals, that create a moody and dark atmosphere behind the track – and the explosion into the chorus is huge, whilst the breakdown in the middle of the tune gives a real sense of breathing space, only to open up right back into the huge sound that they’ve cultivated. with a real driving feel behind the track, you can hear a vast variety of influences from different genres, and they’ve really brought them all together to create something truly unique to themselves. a must-listen for any fans of heavier tunes ๐Ÿ‘Š

Just The Crust 31/03/25: Nat Dempsey – Not Quite There Yet ๐Ÿ‘Š

today’s Just The Crust feature is the brand new single “Not Quite There Yet” from Nat Dempsey! ๐ŸŽถ

we’re huge fans of Nat, with his effortless, down-to-earth and relatable songwriting talent, and his ability to create a standout melody that will stick in your head – his last single “Everyday People” was an incredible show of his ability, and he’s just dropped his second single ๐Ÿ™Œ

this new single takes a bit more of a mellow and atmospheric approach, compared to his last single, with the same jangley indie-pop sound building through the verses, with a lovely chorus-ey guitar tone, playing a lovely laid-back and flowing melody, and his vocal taking command and ensuring the listener’s attention on his storytelling, with carefully-crafted, personal and picturesque lyrics, and a lovely foundation of a driving bass and tight drums that really glue the track together. it’s a fantastic listen, and a brilliant indication of his talent ๐ŸŒ™

we’ve covered Freddie’s music a bunch lately, and he’s been making his mark on the Manchester scene, performing across the city and getting his music out there – and with his descriptive, down-to-earth and relatable lyrics, his blend of folk, rock and blues, he’s ensuring his position as one to watch ๐Ÿ‘Š

this new single “Falling” sounds mega, a more upbeat 60’s rock influence to the track, and it’s got a superb rhythm to it right from the get-go, and with a jangly guitar pattern, lovely vocal harmonies and his simple yet effective lyricism, you can hear the feel-good elements to the track immediately. his vocal takes centre-stage and ensures the listener’s attention, and it’s got a lovely bassline that compliments the drumwork, creating a great space for the foundation of the track. it’s a proper great listen, and well worth checking out! ๐Ÿค
