there’s just over a month til Scatterchild play Year’s End Fest!
it’s looking like an incredible day of music, with so many bands and artists performing, put together by Scruff of the Neck – definitely not one to miss out on.
we’re stoked to announce the next of our The Slice shows, down at the Grafton Arms on the Saturday 16th of November, raising funds for The Christie Charity
we’ll be starting up at 7:30, and with a full four band lineup, it’s gonna be a belter! free entry, cash + card donations taken for the Christie, come on down!
supporting Freya Beer, performing tracks from the recent debut album “An Everyday Landscape“, it’s gonna be a riot. tickets available at https://fatso.ma/0r14
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the explosive new single “Mood Ring” from FEAR of MARKO
a real standout talent on the Manchester scene, we’ve known Marko for a good while, having had him perform a bunch, caught him live at so many gigs and we’re always in awe of his unique and ferocious talent – with not only a captivating and impressive stage presence, but also backed with the ability to create truly personal and unique songs that will have anyone dancing along. a must-see artist!
we’re massive fans of his music, having had the last single on repeat this year – and this new single “Mood Ring” only proves his musical capabilities even further! it opens with a ferocious hook, backed with a wall of distortion and a driving drum beat that give a real energy behind the track – and Marko takes charge of the song with his gritty and raw performance, utilising so many genres within his style to ensure that you’re hooked on every word. his lyricism in this one is spot on – his ability to tell a story in such a personal and passionate way yet maintaining a serious element of cool is one that puts FEAR of MARKO’s music above the rest.
you can find the track on all streaming platforms, and there’s an incredible music video on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0vTP5kJUN0 – it’s well worth a watch, incredible visuals!
