the Blackpool-based alternative rock band have been making a name for themselves over the past two years, releasing a bunch of fantastic singles and performing all across the North ๐ถ
the album sounds great, with some expertly-crafted tunes, you can really hear the musicianship within the band, they’re able to connect with one another superbly – and with quality songwriting, each of the tracks tells it’s own story in it’s own way, whilst still maintaining a real connection throughout the full album. there are strong elements of classic rock influence, but with a more modern twist, really making a sound that’s unique to them – it’s a fantastic listen โ๏ธ

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Crawling Distance” from The Empire Police! ๐ค
a familiar face on the North West scene, they’ve been making waves for a good few years now, having put out a bunch of incredible tunes, and performing all across the region and selling out shows on the regular in their Preston hometown ๐ถ
this new track sounds fantastic, blending their earlier indie-rock roots with more metal-infused, heavier elements that really paves the way for their anthemic, driving brand of alternative rock – with expert lyricism, they’re able to paint a picture with their lyrics, matched with instrumentation that compliments the wordcraft fantastically, the track ebbs and flows and truly feels like a journey with the band. it’s a brilliant listen! ๐
we’re excited to announce that Scatterchild is a recipient of the GMCA Inspire Fund, with the grant going towards the costs of his second album! โ๏ธ

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Got To Lose” by Burnley-based indie outfit The Stride! ๐
following the release of their single “Hold On” last year, the band have gone from strength to strength, performing across the North West and beyond, taking their indie rock tunes with them and astounding audiences – reminiscent of 90’s Manchester vibes ๐ฅ
this new single opens up with a nostalgic guitar progression, backed with a real tight rhythm section that holds it together, giving plenty of room for the lead guitar melody to flow over the top – and the main vocal takes command immediately, it’s a real indie anthemic vibe to it with a singalong chorus and with a proper stadium rock feel ๐
