our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Ephemeral” from Beck Pocket ☀️

the electro-pop duo have been making a real name for themselves over the past few years, performing across the North West a bunch and being selected as part of the 2025 Factory Sounds – and this new single, their first in two years, sees them explore a move into an era of feel-good, glitchy chaos 🙌

the track sounds fantastic, opening with a nostalgia-filled soundscape, with evolving electronica synths paired with dreamy vocal melodies, and the drop into the driving, fast-paced chorus feels like a real teleportation to an 80’s racing game. there’s a proper groove to the track, with a gorgeous bassline that’s paired with refined lead guitar melodies, all which come together so well to create a track that’ll be stuck in your head for days to come. 🎧

a proper bubblegum pop banger, this was stuck in our heads for so long – such a tune. produced by @keepshtum and featuring @szoumusicuk – a slight variation to the kinda music we usually put out but we love it nonetheless! 🎶

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from PHIA SKY “supermoon“!

after a string of incredible releases throughout the past few years, and work in bands and acts across Manchester, PHIA SKY has returned with her first release since 2021 – and it sounds as good as ever, an incredible return for the electro-pop songwriter.

with an incredible creative electronic atmosphere surrounding the track, and a beautiful use of dynamic to really make the song pop, this one’s definitely one to check out. the use of contrasting synthesisers and sounds blend so well with one another, creating an eerie yet awe-inspiring backdrop for PHIA’s vocals to soar over, and really highlights her unique and intricate songwriting. the gorgeous soundscape of the track is present throughout, albeit in differing forms, yet maintaining a lovely sense of continuity throughout and ensuring that PHIA is one to watch here in the North West.
