our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Got To Lose” by Burnley-based indie outfit The Stride! π
following the release of their single “Hold On” last year, the band have gone from strength to strength, performing across the North West and beyond, taking their indie rock tunes with them and astounding audiences – reminiscent of 90’s Manchester vibes π₯
this new single opens up with a nostalgic guitar progression, backed with a real tight rhythm section that holds it together, giving plenty of room for the lead guitar melody to flow over the top – and the main vocal takes command immediately, it’s a real indie anthemic vibe to it with a singalong chorus and with a proper stadium rock feel π
raising funds for “GREY” the musical to go to the Edinburgh Fringe, it’s bound to be a stellar one, with live music, poetry and performances from the musical – we can’t wait! 6:30pm doors
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the explosive new single “P.O.S” from Tay Temple! π₯
we’ve known Tay for a good long time now, and we’re always blown away by her music and her drive – she’s got so many bangers under her belt and this is yet another incredible track. there’s a headline show on the 12th of September which we can’t wait for – tickets at https://www.fatsoma.com/e/p2g8wbed/vortex-presents-tay-temple π
this single “P.O.S” sounds incredible, her in-your-face, no-nonsense attitude is present throughout the tune, and right from the get-go, Tay’s vocal immediately grips the listener’s attention, with direct lyricism and driving guitars punching through. as the track opens up, the drums and bassline lay a strong foundation for the tune, perfectly complimenting the guitar riffs and ensuring Tay’s powerful vocals and straight-talking lyrics take centre stage π a real angry anthem for the modern age!
you can listen to the new single on all streaming platforms, and there’s a lyric visualiser available on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9r3T2Si1us – well worth checking out πΆ

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Natives” from GETNER! π
a familiar face on the Manchester scene, GETNER seriously made their mark already, with a bunch of incredible tunes under their belt, a fantastic live performance that’s sure to get everyone fired up, and having done a bunch of sold-out headlines, they’re an essential band to get to know here in the North West π₯
this new tune “Natives” sounds incredible, opening up with a delicate soundscape, drawing the listener in to listen, and it opens up almost immediately into an energetic, riff-infused atmosphere that’s got a proper groove behind it. Quentin’s vocal takes centre stage and addresses the listener, ensuring their attention – and his lyricism is direct and poetic, really painting a picture with the songwriting. the track flows so effortlessly, there’s a proper dynamic behind it and it goes through so many different melodies and grooves, yet maintains a real connection between them, proving the band’s musical ability and ensuring the attention of anyone who listens to it π
our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “London Town” from HEALER! π€
the Grimsby-based alternative rock outfit have been making waves since 2022, and they’ve become known for hard-hitting shows around the East Yorkshire area and beyond, having performed a bunch – plus, their previous singles were given a fantastic reception by radio, blogs and their fans πΆ
this new single “London Town” sounds fantastic, and it’s got the familiar energy of their previous tracks, with gorgeous atmospheric sounds paving the soundscape, anthemic singalong choruses and down-to-earth, relatable lyricism that has seen them connect to people effortlessly through their music. there’s a real driving rhythm behind the track, and you can really hear the chemistry within the band, each member an expert at their craft, coming together to create something truly special. it’s a fantastic listen, proving them as ones to watch for 2025! π
