our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new EP from Glacmanis “Songs From A Chase Sequence” 🎵

we’ve known these guys for a good while, having had them perform for us a bunch and writing up reviews of their past releases – we love their laid-back and lo-fi sound, such a great atmosphere to their tunes 👊

this new EP continues with that sound, opening with a driving, lo-fi track that feels like it should be in a racing soundtrack. their use of dynamic and instrumentation within their music ensures that every line is exciting, and unfolds throughout the flow of each and every tune. they’ve got singalong hooks, a beautiful use of synths, guitar melodies and driving rhythm forming the foundation of their tracks – it’s a great listen start to finish 💥

the first offering from the Manchester indie-rock outfit, and they’ve got off to a strong start, having performed a bunch over the past few months including a headline show, and their single proving their talent 👊

the track sounds mega, with a strong mix of powerful and grounding rhythm, a luscious lead guitar tone and acoustic guitar working in tandem to create a full sonic sound – and leaving plenty of space for Jack’s vocal to take command and deliver his story in expert fashion, with no-nonsense, direct lyricism that paints a real picture of emotion. 🌙

the Manchester-based grunge-influenced songwriter released her debut single “Miss Safrano” last year, and has been performing across the North West a bunch throughout the remainder of 2025, and is back with a brand new single 🎶

this new single has a real echo of 90’s alternative to it, with a lofi-esque drumbeat backing the soft, delicate guitar progression, creating a luscious atmosphere for her vocal to soar above the instrumentation, conveying her story with effortless and powerful delivery; with a lovely chorus, raw and personal lyricism, it’s a real intimate track that sounds fantastic 🎵

the Manchester-based midwest-emo outfit have been on the scene for a good while now, and they released their debut single earlier last year – a great first tune for them! 👊

this new single “L.A.” follows on from the success of their debut, and with signature melodic guitar riffs, powerful and driving rhythm, accompanied by expert lyricism and fierce vocal delivery, it’s a real banger – their use of dynamic within their music compliments the songwriting style superbly, giving a real sense of flow to the track. it’s a great listen and a must for any fans of alternative indie/emo 🌙
